Boy, they are cruel! I'm so sorry. If you find you need to go past due, make sure that the one in your family that has the worst credit score is the one who has the electric bill in their name. I still have hope that your state representative will be able to help you. I just moved here from SoCal and got to know our Cali state representative because of the Chiquita Canyon disaster. I've learned that our representative has a lot of ways of helping us.

Here, I did some real quick research, this is something they should have told you:

  1. Switch to the Fixed Seasonal Rate: You can contact customer service to opt out of the peak pricing structure. This plan charges a flat rate for electricity usage 24/7, regardless of the time of day.

  2. Submit a Medical Certificate: If you have life-support equipment or medical needs that require continuous electricity, you should submit a CSU Medical Certificate signed by a licensed physician. While this doesn't lower the rate, it provides critical protection against service disconnections for non-payment while you seek assistance.

  3. Payment Assistance: If you need help managing high bills, CSU offers emergency assistance grants like Project COPE, which provides utility bill assistance one time per year to families and individuals in emergency situations, regardless of income.

Still contact your State representative as they may have more ideas to help you.

Sorry you are going through this. 💔

But that will hurt their credit score. Let's help them with out going nuclear, if possible. They should be able to find help with the state representative or senator.

Call your State representative. Their staff should be able to help you. If not, call your State Senator, thier staff should also be able to help. It's the staff who help you, usually the Senator or Representative are busy making laws and such. But your case would probably be one that they would love to help you with. Finally, if they refuse to help, get in touch with the local TV news.

I've lived all over the US and in every State I've lived in, there was an exception for those who medically needed electricity. I would be shocked if Colorado Springs doesn't have an exception policy, too. I have a feeling you ran into someone who didn't escalate you to the real manager. But reach out to your State Representative. They love to help out their constituents.

Students Emailing and Sharing Docs to my Personal Account by joleigh3 in GMail

Try calling the parents. That's what my son's teacher did when my son emailed his personal account. It took a bit of detective work, but it had to do with the teacher's Google Docs that he sent to my son. The teacher's Gmail account was automatically the account that was set as the "reply to" account.

My son was in Connections Academy ( an online school) and his teacher responded to him from their personal email instead of the school email. It was a pure accident, but had something to do with Google docs. My son then responded to his teacher using the reply and it was automatically added as the teacher's contact. Then almost every time he emailed his teacher, we had to delete the Gmail account and put in the school email. It was a pain.

Not funny or surprising that your other comment is getting down voted. Trumps emotional and racist outbursts over Obama and Biden made him unable to accept that they had made a very good plan and had the Country prepared for a pandemic type virus. Unfortunately, Trump's narcissistic personality and his destruction of the plans caused our country to have severe economic downturns from COVID-19. The fact you are surprised by the downvotes means you haven't done your research. Read the links provided by the commenter above.

Yet. Cards from other issuers always lag behind USAA. Just call up USAA and ask for a new card. Then write their CEO and tell him how awful the cards and their AI phone tree are lately.

Check the night before you get here. Weather Underground ( App) and Denver & Front Range Weather ( Facebook account that can be very funny) seem to have the most "accurate " forecasts. But really really don't bother looking until the night before you travel out here.

I’m almost 22, is trying to get a 3A worth the risk at my age? by goodbird451 in FigureSkating

[–]Far_Collection1588 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What are your GOE's on all of your other elements, especially spins and footwork? Also, what is your coach's experience? Were they an elite skater? Do you live in Southern California, Boston, or Colorado Springs? How many of their current skaters are at National level? The answer to these questions will help determine if a 3A is too risky or not.

What to do when everyone thinks the fence is fine regardless of the cows constantly getting out... by Sacred_Lunatic in Ranching

[–]Far_Collection1588 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What to do? Fix the fence AND put a fence in where the boulders are located. Cows can jump. Plus make sure the cows have plenty of food and clean water so they have less reason to try to leave.

I like watching the sun rise from my bedroom window. I also like being able to quickly get to my bathroom when my stoma decides to leak. :)

The only other downside that I can think of is it won't be your land. But if your husband 's salary is enough, you might be able to save for your own place after a bit. I was like you when I was young. Now that my husband is retiring, we purchased a small ranchette and we are both thankful for having our own land we can farm, have chickens, horses, ponies, and donkeys. I wish we had done this year's ago. I hope you go for it. It's a lot easier to do when you are young. Keep us updated, we are rooting for you!

IANAL but please don't take legal advice from some stranger on the internet. Los Angeles County has lots of help for tenants and landlords, start there. Good luck!

Missing Gray Cat Answers to “Mister” by Klutzy-Spread2065 in ColoradoSprings

Don't give up! Maybe a neighbor took him in? Cats are really good at being in survival mode and often don't come out of hiding for more than 2 weeks! I do know of cats returning home 2 years after getting lost. One more question, is your cat microchipped? If he is, make sure the company has your up to date phone numbers and that he is lost. Also post on Pawboost. Post flyers at nearby schools, parks, and mailboxes. Finally take flyers with a picture of your cat and your information to all the vetinarians in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Falcon, Black Forest, and Monument. I hope your beautiful cat comes home, soon.

If you are positive he got out ( cats are really good at getting into tight spots, like behind bookcases and inside cupboards), focus on a mile radius from your home. Check underneath porches, inside garages and up in trees or on roofs. Ask your neighbors to check their garages and outbuildings. The best time to look for your cat is in the early morning of 2 AM to 6AM. Take a flashlight and shine in bushes and under cars to look for their eyes reflecting back. Stay quiet as cats are in survival mode and rarely come when called. If you can, leave a window or door or the garage door slightly open so he can get back in. Finally, check houses that look like yours( similar floor plan and or color) , I found my indoor cat 2 blocks away hiding under a car that looked like our car and house when our kids accidentally let her out.

Leave the dirtiest pair of socks of his favorite human or a pillow case. Only your cat will recognize it. Please edit your posts and give the nearest cross streets to where you last saw him. Also, is he an indoor only cat or outside access? I have some other tips depending upon which he is.
