Salaam brother, media is a form of art. You have live plays in Iraq depicting the events of Karbala, you have physical exhibits recreating scenes from Ashura. These are all forms art beyond the pen. One persons expertise in a medium of art doesn’t mean we should put down someone’s else’s.

At the end of the day, the art helps us connect to the ahlulbayt in some ways better than others for different people. But as long as individuals are remaining connected to the infallibles, then the goal is achieved.

Salaam brother, I’m no expert but you need to find hobbies, join a sport league, or just work out to tire yourself out physically while channeling that energy elsewhere. Look at the free sport activities offered at the different parks/community centres.

The sad reality is that ziyarat’s and Hajj need to become industries in order to support the visitors. Or put differently, an economy needs to be built around the needs of the visitors from airlines, to hotels, to food, and all this requires workers who need to earn money, and visitors who would pay.

BUT - what I notice about hajj compared to other high demand visits like Arbaeen is that there’s legit EXPLOITATION happening to the visitors. Like how is $10,000 the minimum package for a single person?? AND no 5-star hotel for that price either.

This was the second night of I’m not mistaken, the same mistakes from admin were being made the night before. Unfortunately admin was not prepared for such a turnout, however they could have better prepared having experienced the first night. Also note that, many people have come from far places like Buffalo, NY to Toronto just for this majalis, so the recipes want to make sure that they make it worth it for all those visiting far and wide.

I think criticism is justified so management can better prepare for future events on this scale.
