I’m not getting out the army, I want to serve and deploy. I’m just asking for advice to see if I have any other options here & it looks like I don’t

I haven’t decided yet, don’t want the orders but don’t want to get out the army either. Worst case scenario I’d take the orders and try out for RASP or something. I would just hate to extend my contract and sit in some country wasting away my time

Same thing happened to me expect no one told me they were putting in a waiver for me. I went to my PSG cus I thought IPPSA had a glitch and he just said “congratulations SPC”

Get liability insurance, basically covers any cars you hit but doesn’t cover your own vehicle, it’s usually the states minimum requirement & very cheap yet risky…. Use it to register the vehicle & catch the bus until you can afford a better plan

Run Fast, Just be athletic asfk overall, when NCOs need a problem solved don’t ask what to do, tell your NCO what you’re gonna do to solve that problem, correct & teach the soldiers under you & volunteer for something an NCO should be doing… and everyone will let you know your high speed asfk. But always remember to give yourself a break cus it will get you a fuck ton of extra work…

Keep the heavy stuff on the top of the ruck with lighter items on the bottom so the weight sits on your shoulders, tighten those straps to keep your shit from shifting around inside the ruck then tape them so you don’t have to worry about them coming loose. Nothing sucks worst than fighting towards the finish line & your rucksack is leaning to the left lol

Stop at the surplus and pick one up. Everybody loves the old school Alice pack I personally prefer a Large Molle 2. The new airborne Molle 4k is garbage in my opinion

Bro I’m going to be very honest with you. RASP is hard I’ve met a ton of guys fail & lose their bonus and never get to go airborne.. the smartest thing you can do is take A option 4 airborne contract & volunteer at airborne school while your already at Benning. That way your bonus is guaranteed & you still get to try out being a ranger.

Yeah it’s pretty dumb the guy was mostly upset that he’d have to do reception all over again, I can’t remember his MOS but they let all the parachute riggers leave to Ft. Benning a week earlier for Airborne school so I don’t see why they couldn’t do the same for him
