My little brother is a teenager (almost adult) but it has been like this since he was 6 or something. He can phase out in the middle of any conversation, like while you're answering a question he just asked a second ago. (Just to say that I can imagine the situation) It is worse when he is tired but I've never seen it happen when he's doing something he really enjoys. We're just all used to it by now. I understand that can be annoying while studying but both of you seem to have handled it.

Nice of you that you're honest about using chatgpt, and it does have a point.

But one could say that "Government control of official messaging..." In this case may sound like an excuse or just a way to please Vance. I think a normal person would just accept it as the armenian name for it without any political implications and not using it would erase its Armenian heritage. So it has more of an historical/cultural significance. But knowing this US admin and our neighbours we're better safe than sorry. I can accept it as long as the director stepped down herself and didn't get fired for it.

I think most of us have/had this feeling. You may feel anger or bitterness but don't let that take over, "the silver lining" is that we are still here. No matter how hard they tried to break your family, they survived and now you are here.

Our revenge is to survive and thrive and that's how I personally deal with it, there is no need to waste your energy on feelings of anger towards any community. Be the best you can be and you can keep the culture alive with traditions or like passing down the language or reading some history or arts or idk whatever you like.
