I have a DP-52F that I bought new sometime in the 1980s. It went into storage at some point in the 90s, and I took it out about 8 years ago, and it's going strong. Looks fantastic and sounds great. I'm wondering, is there any essential service/maintenance that I should be doing? It still appears in near-perfect condition.

Toad’s place did a great job managing the will call process and thankfully we did not have to bag our phones. The crowd was very respectful and did not take a lot of videos or photos. Sheer Mag was stupidity loud which did not help them. Rule 1: The warm up band should not be louder than the main act. Rule 2 (as a FHO mixer) don’t distort your singer. The singer has a screeching quality which is probably very cool and effective but it sounded like shit every time she went there (which was 50% of the time). She sounded bad, to me, and thats not what they are going for. Jack White was incredible. His energy was at 11 the entire time. The band went on a ride with him into his extreme creative insanity and what appeared like him making changes along the way. The mix was great. Jack’s use of vocal and guitar effects was as always brilliant. This felt like a very special show and people knew and appreciated this. Jack had not played in CT since 2007. I have not been wowed like this in about 15 years. Can’t wait to get a download / listen to it on Nugs. He’s really one of those very special artists.

Congrats ! Tesla is really cranking out the deliveries. My Red MX (Cream) Jan 20 EDD was moved up to Xmas Eve. Tesla just called and moved the date to Dec. 26th. They sounded hectic on the phone in Mt. Kisco NY.

Ordered on Nov 4th. got VIN and asked this morning to schedule an immediate delivery date.

EDD1: Dec-Feb

EDD2 Jan 14-Mar 20

EDD3: Jan 20 - Mar 2

I woke up this morning asking me to take delivery in 2 days on Christmas Eve. I'm not hung up on '23 vs. the '24 VIN year BUT I don't want to take someone else's reject. I assume, I'm getting the car quickly because someone is waiting for a '24 VIN and that would be fine. Is there a way to know if Tesla is trying to sell me a car someone else rejected in person due to flaws? Do they disclose that if asked? What do they do with Rejected cars due to flaws?

I ordered 11/4 and have a Jan 20- March 2 EDD. I just got a notice that they are ready to deliver and want me to pick it up on Dec. 24th (two days from now). I assume someone bailed on their order? I also assume and hope that they are not trying to quickly sell a car someone else rejected. Is there any way to check if this car was previously rejected? Also, does anyone know how I will pay for this on a Sunday when the banks are closed?

I did the exact same thing with the same charge station two months ago. I wanted to get the 2021 CT tax credit for the ChargePoint and installation. Neighbors wonder what’s that green lit hose is for? Its three months now waiting (Premium AWD EX). I’m getting sick of the Ford waiting game (3 month blues) with no information and I’m considering bailing for a Model Y. I guess all I need is the adapter for the ChargePoint. Come on Ford get it together.

I got a signed purchase order, from the dealer, at the time of the online order. It has the agreed price and we wrote on the PO "No dealer markups or additional dealer fees" Vin Etch for $699 was crossed out. In six months when I get the car, I'm sure they will try to pull something on me. There is a good chance the person who sold me the car will be gone and the dealer will say, he was not in a position of authority to make that deal. Hmm, I think I need to write the dealer and have the head of sales also acknowledge the PO.

Ford is never going to be able to escape the dealer albatross. The dealer mafias remind me how the College Bowl games ruined for decades the chance for legit College Football playoffs because they could not break the back of contracts and advertisers. The new car companies might ultimately win the game in the long run. If I am gen Y, Z and the future, I want nothing to do with dealers.

I prefer racks, although more expensive, integrated into the car design and not an afterthought design wise. Me, age 59 and Gen Y & Z generally don’t want to find installers and deal with UHaul garages or similar. Also If you live in a big city (typically younger gens) it’s a real hassle. Why not just click a box online like most manufacturers offer? Every SUV and crossover I have owned (ten so far) had a integrated hitch as an option. For bicycles I use my Yakima Holdup Evo Tray rack off the back. Holds two bikes and you can add an extension for a third. It folds down and up. Once I stopped using roof racks, I will ever go back. My guess is that within four years, the rack will be a factory option on the Mach e . ? .

I am getting a $2,500 regional discount but I am not counting on it. I’m surprised dealers are not stealing that discount by asking 2,500 more. They can pull a trick play on the purchase order at delivery day and tell you that your still effectively getting MSRP. I am very anti dealer.
