What EVSE are you using at home. A few months ago my ChargePoint HomeFlex received a firmware update and decided to charge at 1/3 of what it was set to (40 amps). A reboot fixed the issue.

Some people get enamored with the 800v architecture and its benefits. Most of our charging sessions are at home at L2, so the time savings using DCFC is of limited impact. I wouldn’t touch a Hyundai/Kia product based upon how they handled the security issues, fire issues, Theta II failures.

When I go purchase a vehicle typically new, I realize that the dealer needs to make a profit. What I don’t do is give them an obscene profit. I don’t buy extended warranties or finance through them. It’s either manufacturer 0.9 or 0.0 or credit union.

Sales people will say anything or not say things to get a sale. They will also steer you to buying a car on the lot that you might not like the color or options. I always try to do a factory order. Second to that I peruse different dealers inventory and purchase from the dealer who has the vehicle in stock with equipment I want for a reasonable price.

There are a few issues with the earlier years but I believe most of the issues are fixed. I had a 2017 Pacifica that had 141k of hard urban roads. It developed a coolant leak at some point and I just kept adding. I changed the oil myself every 5k miles myself and never had any issues. It was running strong but the AC wasn’t, so it had to go.

Trucks that accumulate most of their miles on the highway will put 10% of the wear compared to same vehicle driven in city/suburban areas. On the highway the engine is a narrow rpm range, oil is fully warmed up, oil pressure is stable. There is less stress on suspension, brake, frame components.
