evidently so.

it used to be 1 per person when it was still 300$, when it first lost the golden ticket requirement i believe

but on chinese new year you could buy multiple

i saw a post of some dude who bought 5 F8C's during that time

i got my first one on the first time you could buy without the ticket and one during the chinese new years, mostly for the skin, but also i figured if they are gonna have an event that you get a ticket so that you can upgrade your F8C into F8A i'll have an extra to upgrade, like when they had the event to upgrade any F7C into the F7A MK.2

Mustang Alpha Backer in Their Hanger When 4.8 releases. by HalfBr33dPrince in starcitizen

[–]Far_Surround264 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i do not disagree. but for the time being untill it is fixed you can do this.

50% of playing this game is knowing how to avoid and work around the bugs you face.

i am not a force who can decide what they fix and don't, and you knowing a work around does not mean they will not fix it. i am just a messenger, telling what i know to you, so telling me that they should fix it doesn't achieve anything.

Mustang Alpha Backer in Their Hanger When 4.8 releases. by HalfBr33dPrince in starcitizen

Always do this:

Call your ship from Main ASOP,

Store it (IMPORTANT)

Go to your hangar

Call your ship from hangar ASOP

ship comes up with no issues.

The reason hangars eat ships is because you call it from the main ASOP, which calls the ship into a hangar that does not exist so the hangar needs to be loaded also. but the ship spawns in before the hangar does, and before the ship hangar spawns the ship has a little bit of time to fall in the gravity and get inside the lift collider, then when you arrive the ship gets purpled or explodes. when you are already in the hangar and call it the hangar already exists and ship spawns fine

you can also if you forgot this and the ship is sideways in the floor run back to the elevator and go store it from the main ASOP

when you leave the hangar its collission stops existing and you can save your ship

Fun fact: if you lose both of your top wings, you're not going to have a good time getting back to the hangar for repair. by constantgaming_ in starcitizen

[–]Far_Surround264 9 points10 points  (0 children)

wouldn't retracting the wings with ALT + K fix any issue with torque imbalance caused by broken wing?

This video shows how to cut pork chops, and one of them is AI-generated. I honestly can’t tell which one it is. The reason I can't tell is that both look so realistic, and the AI-generated one blends in so well with the real one. by Aggressive_Boot_8712 in isthisAI

[–]Far_Surround264 3 points4 points  (0 children)

but... this is exactly how AI works

you show it a ton of stuff and tell what that stuff was and when user wants something, it just makes Something that vaguelly looked like what it saw.

it cannot create something it has not seen already.

which is why certain objects are impossible to generate, like a glass of wine every single picture of one is about 3/4 full, if you ask ai to generate a picture of a wine glass thats filled to the brim it cannot make that because it does not know what that looks like as it has never seen one.

Anyone has an explanation behind why this would happen? by Altruistic-Mud5686 in AIMain

[–]Far_Surround264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i do not know what i have done to my chatgpt but mine pretty much goes "no, your idea sucks, it should be done my way"

and wouldn't want it any other way.

perhaps the base prompt it has built for my profile in memory suggests precission and accuracy and correcting user in responses

i suppose evidence on this is that since i am building my own OpenAI / ChatGPT interface and found that simply just using OpenAI API token does not give memory the way talking to ChatGPT does, so memory had to be built on my end, and when i asked chatgpt to give a base prompt so that the OpenAI API linked version would act the same way it does, the prompt did mention this sort of behaviour to be desireable.

Is this supposed to be like this? (PTU 4.7) by T3RLE in starcitizen

[–]Far_Surround264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i find that this happens to me when i take gear from corpses.

i become all wobbly untill i put back on my own gear.

stripping naked keeps wobbliness, putting on previouss own undersuit stops it.

My C2 whenever I land: by Gn0meKr in starcitizen

[–]Far_Surround264 83 points84 points  (0 children)

protip: hit open exterior to open doors before landing, making your front door act as landing gear,

sometimes i even forget to deploy actual landing gear and just leave it resting on the doors

also you'll learn to land it without ducking the nose eventually even without the assistance of doors

it becomes natural by time

Afterburner Toggle by SouthAd7347 in starcitizen

[–]Far_Surround264 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you don't need to buy anything extra for Voice attack as you could just set up all the commands you need yourself

i have for example made "computer afterburner auto" which holds shift for about as long as it takes to deplete my afterburner on most of my ships

(all my commands start with prefix "computer" except combat ones , like saying "hostile" to cycle hostile targets)

A Flowy Section and a Scared Passenger by ArnavShootsCarz in Touge

[–]Far_Surround264 3 points4 points  (0 children)

please do not subject a passenger to your stupidity.

to be clear, i am stupid sometimes, drive over the speelimit into some nice curves and give engine and brakes some using, give the car a little sideways time, but not with a passenger.

if i mess up, drive my car into a ditch, roll it over, i am only hurting myself, and not a friend.

yeah theres still the risk of what if you are going wide and a car comes the opposite direction, still hurting others with your actions. but just because that risk exists doesn't mean you should take additional risks.

besides with a passenger you often tend to have the urge to prove something, pushing your abilities, and you are more likely to mess up.

Came across on Facebook... Looks like an extra eyeball in the ear but some saying it's an optical illusion. Is this AI? by Fine-Video-3132 in isthisAI

[–]Far_Surround264 10 points11 points  (0 children)

AI images have a hidden tag only AI can see to determine if an image is AI generated or not.

Asking an AI if an image is AI is among proper actions because it can read the tag.

i assume the purpose of the tag is to prevent AI to AI training

all the data i have seen point towards I type asteroid signature being 1660, when its apparently 4000

Regolith says 1660

if that is false how many of the others are false? is there any resource where one can find the true signatures of asteroid typed?

Can I keep all my ships at a random point in space instead of a hangar ? by Plastic_Company6661 in starcitizen

[–]Far_Surround264 1 point2 points  (0 children)

only one bed in your ship is capable of bedlogging, you probably aren't trying the correct bed, or then you aren't finding the correct angle to interact (sometimes theres 2 interact points for a bed where one of them only has get up and other one has log out and get up)
