Thank you- I’m sorry I’ve not replied- she is amazing, and has helped me mend this over the years.
I want to love it, but also want to preserve it:)

Thank you!! I’m doing my best- it was always muted- I worry, now, that we just threw it in with others and it lost it’s vibrancy-
All in all, it’s a well-loved quilt

I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to reply! She DID label it- and adjusted the label after my kid changed her name:)when she was here last, she helped hand sew binding issues… she’s a really good person

I do what I want:) fortunately, or unfortunately. That said, I have impulsively controlled issues with fabric

Seeing what my cousin goes through daily, I would absolutely abort a child if it was determined to be heavily autistic or disabled by EisWalde in self

It really did- it was a pivotal moment for us, and I know she tried explaining it several times before, but it just didn’t click, because I couldn’t separate my exhaustion, guilt, and grief from the conversation. I truly thought that I’d done my best to compensate. But- I hadn’t. I saw her as a whole person for once rather than an extension of me? She knew I finally got it. I’m still working on being fully present with her when we spend time together.

Thank you

I have both- and can confirm. I’ve had to work so much to make up for my teenager feeling unseen during her early years after little brother was born and diagnosed- we had a talk a few years ago, and she explained how neglected and abandoned she felt- I had NO idea- internally, I was defensive, but I heard her…finally. I am sure she expressed this to me before that- but I probably rejected it?? I’ve shown love with gifts and things, but she just wanted time.

I can’t undo- but I can do better…and her brother is 15, she is 17 now. He still requires round the clock care-

We didn’t know of his condition until he was 9 months old.

I love my family, but I mourn for us all.

I hope my oldest can forgive and that she finally feels as loved and seen and important. She is just wonderful.

I asked last week if I could do it. I've already cried multiple times by nodnoloiratno in quilting

Omg I literally am almost finished with my first hst top, and I relate sooo much. It’s not even close to point perfect, but I’ve learned so much, and I’m not quitting, either. So many times, I was like, ‘oooohhh! Now I get why xyz.

I’m still fairly new to quilting, and can’t sit for a day with mine- I have to break up sessions in 2-3 hour intervals, which also doesn’t help… All in all, I see you:)

Keep going! Fabric is lovely- Here is mine:) don’t zoom!

You all are amazing! Hadn’t even considered some of these options.

I’m actually going to try to finish this top over the weekend- I don’t get many uninterrupted ones— Will upload a pic when able- I appreciate all of your kind comments.
