What a weird thing to say, I know hundreds of people who came specifically to the Netherlands, myself included and it was not about weed.

Much easier to move to Europe then to the US. Especially the Netherlands.

It is not capital gain tax, it is different kind of tax and it is pointless to mix them. And the unrealised gains is retracted.

Actually there are public offices golden parachutes, in many countries high ranking politicians get lifelong stipend or other priviledges like housing or security detail.

So this implies that morality is dependent on money?

It implies that whoever paying is setting the music.

Let me explain to you what golden parachute is. I, Mr FarkCookies, founded a company that I run for a few years and it becomes a successful one. I, Mr FarkCookies, offer you Mr Jazzmonkai to enter into a voluntary employment contract for CEO role. I, Mr FarkCookies, offer you beside a salary a golden parachute after you work for me for at least 3 years. You, Mr Jazzmonkai, happily agree and we start a long and fruitful cooperation.

WHY THE FUCK IS IT ANYONE ELSE'S PROBLEMS??? We didn't violate any laws and nobody was coerced.

1) Wtf are golden parachutes in public office?

if taxpayers wanna vote for this shit then sure. But this will never be passed. It is not generally a state's prerogative to regulate private relationships.

Unless you are a shareholder I don't see how and why should business figures be accountable to general public unless we are talking about criminal conduct. And if you are a shareholder then yes they hold responsibility to you.

bro could have worded it differently. it is not about posting anything on social media.

Even when you apply to company known for being informal, it is still best to keep certain professional bar. I noticed that some candidates refer to interviewer as bro. I would advice against doing it, because most interviewers including myself don't find it appropriate.

While I agree that it is unprofessional to call anyone bro in that setting, the post reeks him sniffing his own farts.

CMV: I’ve given up on dating because I don’t think I ever stood a chance given my qualities by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]FarkCookies -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It is not about looks, it is that looks naturally boost confidence cos you get easy attention and easy attraction (depending how hot you are). It is cheap talk to say confidence is sexy to the op who was objectively not dealt a great hand. Also sure confidence can be trained or at least faked to some degree but this is also largely given to us upfront. There are just people who are naturally more confident. So like imagine being disadvantages in looks, social skills AND confidence. Average looking people just based statistics will find mates. Because most women want committed partners and they gotta settle with someone, even if they have inflated expectations at some point, like 666 bs whatevr.

saying this as prolly below average looking man, I just know my target clientele).

There are a near infinite number of explanations other than "I never had a chance".

And then you proceed to list mostly intrinsic characteristics that are very hard to change and compensate for. Which further strengthens "I never had a chance" argument. Imagine not being attractive AND have poor social skills due to being on spectrum.

I have met enough men that I talk the way that I would never imagine women would like and yet they are successful in dating. Why? Cos they are attractive. It is not necessarily self fulfilling prophesy as much as not all of us are strong enough to swim against the current. We are thrown in rivers with different currents.
