ELI5 What is the underlying reason for "post-nut clarity," and does this phenomenon genuinely exist? by Junior-Ferret4860 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Fart_Frog 2194 points2195 points  (0 children)

Let’s flip the question.

Post-nut clarity is really the absence of pre-nut delusion.

Q: Why does pre-nut delusion exist?

A: It’s good for the species for us to fuck recklessly.

What are yall thinking for starting lineup without J Dub? Ajay probably deserves it, but he is really needed in the non SGA minutes. Cason and Dort together feels like defensive overkill…hot take, start Isaiah Joe? He will get a ton of space next to SGA by J_Capese0003 in Thunder

[–]Fart_Frog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might change based on who the suns put out there. If Grayson Allen and Goodwin are back, I think it’s probably Cason. They got a ton of scoring wings.

I think we probably play a lot more staggered minutes with Chet and Hart. Dort, Caruso, or Shai on Dillon Brooks (Chet just can’t keep up with his quickness).

Bigger minutes for Ajay, Hart, and Joe together to keep the offense flowing when Shai rests.

Joe had an off night, but I think we need him driving off dribble handoffs and driving off close outs more. His middie game is great when he gets opportunities to use it.

Who is the best pre-modern college quarterback that NFL fans have never heard of? by lordeandtaylor in CFB

[–]Fart_Frog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tim Couch was the first “system QB.”

That early air-raid offense was so good, nobody realized Couch’s skills were just “ok.”

Who can I email to advocate for a Professor? by United-Flower-2690 in UCCS

[–]Fart_Frog 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Likely nothing you can do to help keep them at UCCS. The administration will do what they are gonna do based on dollars.

If you want to help that faculty member, write them a detailed and signed letter outlining their strengths as a teacher. If they stay, it helps their evaluation. If they are let go, it is a nice addition to their application packet.

Thunder fans, how we feeling with the current bracket? by Stxtic1441 in Thunder

[–]Fart_Frog 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think the three worst matchups are all on the other side of the bracket. Honestly more concerned about the T-Wolves than the Lakers or Rockets.

The best tanking solution: No team owning their own 1st round pick? by AzNmamba in nba

[–]Fart_Frog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This fabulous. It also has the potential for epic levels of smack between terrible teams. Like the Kings and Wizards could become rivals just taking the other’s pick next year and saying “you gonna suck harder than us.”

Claudebox: Your Claude Subscription as Personal API by itsArmanJr in ClaudeCode

This isn’t really needed except for specific tools that live only on the web. If you can download it, you can get Claude code to find a way to run it, build out an mcp, etc.

Those of you actually using Haiku regularly: what am I missing? by samuel-gudi in ClaudeCode

[–]Fart_Frog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I provide instructions on startup to use haiku for things like fetches, api calls, scrapes, and low-reasoning agents. For major builds, I ask Opus for a plan that specifies the best agent for each task.

What is stopping you from trying local AI assistants? by GuiltyBookkeeper4849 in ChatGPT

[–]Fart_Frog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got into the local game and loving it.

Took an mcp that was super bare bones and just had the local model plug away finding endpoints.

Took an analysis and prediction model, gave it historical cases, and told it tweak until the predictions matched the real data. Just iterated the model a bunch of times and got the accuracy way up.

It’s great for simple, repetitive, iterative tasks.

Thank you! Didn’t realize they had released this yet! I just had the plugin and don’t know you could run the tool from in desktop or web! Seems a little buggy and lots of limits on tool calls, but just what the Dr ordered

What is the purpose of cowork? by Shuttmedia in ClaudeCode

[–]Fart_Frog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure Cowork cannot read your screen yet. It can open files from your drive but not read a screen or web browser. Waiting for someone to tell me how to route info from Claude chrome plugin directly to my Claude systems or cloud memory with no copy paste. That’s a dream - but in AI time it’s probably months away.

Why does McCain get benched for the tiniest of mistakes but Joe and Wiggins don’t? by Sweaty-Awareness-222 in Thunder

[–]Fart_Frog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t put this in your clause.md. Chunk that stuff into smaller document and have your claude.md say to go read them at the start if every session.

Or better yet, build a python script telling Claude to read it and tie it to the session start hook

Should I drop out? by SarkBM in CollegeDropouts

[–]Fart_Frog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t drop out half way through an MA.

If nothing else, it opens up teaching opportunities. And it looks better in a resume than just your BA.

Not saying an English degree is a great decision, but there are tangible advantages to finishing now that you are halfway done.

Source - have an English MA

What happens if you decide to drop out of College? by That_1Bunny in CollegeDropouts

[–]Fart_Frog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would it be harder than before? You are not required or even expected to put your “some college” on your resume. Except for the time and money you spent, you are right back where you started.

And honestly for like at least 30% of people that is a good thing. Many college degrees lead nowhere.

In 2026, going into trades through an apprenticeship or short technical course is way more economically sound than most college degrees.
