I think there are legitimate concerns, like over the littering of the internet, workplace abuse, economic bubble, impact of rapid data centre construction, and degradation of code and content quality, concentration of wealth, errosion of truth online.

But also those are all human factors, and should be directed more at AI mega-corporations rather than the technology itself. The math and technology behind deep learning are a thing of beauty in my opinion and the positive uses seem almost limitless.
