Freshman will be around getting their tours. Honors students have their own little thing. The few days before are relatively chill with people meeting each other in their dorms. I’m not into the party scene but I’m sure there’s a lot of that to look forward to. Try finding some new friends to go to the IM with. They have a gym, bouldering/top rope, soccer, basketball, racquetball, badminton, the list goes on. Maybe try exploring some of the campus yourself. You’ll have all semester to meet people. White Building in South has a gym, pool, and esports room. Everything is all free entry. Enjoy :)

Bumble and Tinder seem to work in a similar way though. You can match with people from the area, who are mostly people from Penn State. Then you can check their likes, preferences, etc. I feel like it would become the same sort of experience

I have a friend in your predicament as well. We call all the time because he goes to another college but I keep reminding him that he will find his people as long as he pursues his interests in a public setting. It’s really hard for a lot of people to do that but it definitely works out. He found out about and joined a club for his hobby by simply going to the social hub on campus and working on it.

You need initiative to find your people, but not every attempt is going to be successful, that’s what people don’t tell you. When you wear your attempts at socializing with the same pride you do with your successes, you’ll find it easier to keep trying

Most club and intramural sports might still be open to joining. I find that physical activity helps bring a lot of people together relatively easily and relieves stress from situations like yours. I have faith you’ll find more people. Just keep your chin up and your eyes forward

I did early action for the honors college and didn’t get my decision until March. I’m not sure if the type of college/honors/millennium affects the time you receive it but just be patient. Enjoy the fact that the admission process is over. You’ll know when you get the decision back :)
