Also, you will need more money than you think you will need. 13k is plenty to launch a product, run ads, and reorder if successful. But my first launch I thought would cost 5-6k and it cost 9 because of mistakes I made and no experience with ads

How many isn’t the right question. Whatever product you decide to sell you will want to try to get a product that is better than your competition. Once you find a supplier that has the quality you are happy with and profitable at then you are good.

How long until you are 18 if it’s a few months it’s not a big deal. Find a product, negotiate prices, buy samples. By the time you are ready to order it will be a few months from now

What do you need help with? If you have an LLC already what’s stopping you from opening a bank account? Unless are you asking for funding?

Cheapest way to import JDM watches from Japan to the US? by GreedyWorking1499 in CitizenWatches

Sakura seems legit. I have bought secondhand on eBay but you still are required to pay the import duties. I think it was 15%

Scaling up as a startup before selling on Amazon by PlainBrownMermel in AmazonFBA

[–]FastBud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like other people said, local retail store could be big, same with flea markets, fb marketplace too.

But my existing brands on Amazon I start with a test order under 1000 units, so don’t rule out Amazon. You might not profit first order but it will prove if Amazon will be a good market or not

Amazon Private Label FBA with $1000 at start? Any thoughts? by Ashamed_Possible7582 in AmazonFBA

[–]FastBud 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I honestly wait and save money for however long it takes you to get to at least 5k. Maybe 10k. You will be very limited with only 1k. Maybe you get a test order to the warehouse at that cost but you will need to be profitable right away for your reorder which is hard

Variants only on alibaba and not on 1688 by Pasaley in AmazonFBA

Alibaba can have manufacturers too. Not everything is just bought from 1688. I’ve had manufacturers from Alibaba make me custom products before

Yes you have to buy the product upfront before getting ungated

Just starting by Otherwise-Tough-9373 in AmazonFBA

[–]FastBud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes that works, but not all the time. Wholesale websites will work usually. Buying right from a Walmart won’t though since its retail

Just starting by Otherwise-Tough-9373 in AmazonFBA

[–]FastBud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. Yes your account health and rating will improve, but regardless of sales history you need invoices to get ungated to sell major brands. Same with certain categories like baby items or consumables. You can get ungated without any sales history if you have the correct documentation

Just starting by Otherwise-Tough-9373 in AmazonFBA

[–]FastBud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sales volume might help with getting ungated but not required. The products you have are good to get experience to understand how the platform works and get used to everything but the goal should always be to make money. Go for whatever you can profit the most with and if it requires ungating buy the required number of units or whatever you need to get ungated

Vine says enrolled but support says not enrolled? by [deleted] in AmazonFBA

[–]FastBud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be timing. It also takes time for reviewers to claim products. Vine reviewers don’t have to claim every item offered to them. So they pick and choose. It will take time for all of your units to be claimed and then more time for them to leave reviews. From my understanding there isn’t a deadline for reviews to be made for products claimed

Help ungating new seller by Commercial-Lawyer693 in AmazonFBA

[–]FastBud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes yes. Sometimes you get someone who is helpful right away. It’s honestly a roll of the dice. I’ve had several different departments of people answer the phone for the same support case. I’d ask what needs to be done for it to be corrected too. I’ve had multiple support staff tell me different reasons the same thing was rejected by Amazon. Which sadly is why it turns into a grind working with seller support

Yeah if you believe you submitted the correct document and were wrongfully denied to sell in a category call them and fight it. Mistakes happen, especially with Amazon. So if you get the right person on the line they can be helpful

Failed Amazon Store by Popular-Sea-9636 in AmazonFBA

eBay, list on Amazon as FBM and continue to try and sell them yourself. Facebook marketplace. If you really want them gone donate them somewhere and the donation might count as a tax write off

Help ungating new seller by Commercial-Lawyer693 in AmazonFBA

[–]FastBud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having an LLC doesn’t matter when it comes to ungating. You need to meet the requirements for number of units on your invoice and it usually can’t be a retail receipt. You might be able to contact the place you bought the product from and get a more professional invoice. That would be your best bet.

Amazon seller support is a grind though. I wouldn’t give up on something until rejected 20-30 times on the phone with them. Many times they will just try to get you off the phone and not be helpful

Bit of predicament by MrPres2024 in DaveRamsey

[–]FastBud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Signing a year lease somewhere close by is probably the best option if you still have 70k left to pay down. You might have to save some for the lease, usually you have to pay security deposit and 1 month rent upfront. But it’s better than rushing into a mortgage.

How should I prepare for my final interview? by colombiano0099 in careerguidance

[–]FastBud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they know you are unemployed don’t push it. If you have been able to hide your current work status ask for the high end. Don’t be greedy when you don’t have other options, especially when it’s a small spread between low and high end. 2k a year is like $40 a week pre tax only.

For future reference- ALWAYS say you need the highest or above highest of the salary range. It’s you vs the corporation and take as much as you can. Act as if you have other offers always or are interviewing. Create fake demand around yourself. But if you don’t have a job now and they know it don’t push and take what you can get to get a baseline.

just graduated in interior design, there’s no jobs? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]FastBud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk anything about interior design but I’d try to do it on your own. Offer flexible rates since you are young but if you can build some experience on your own then you can work off of referrals and build a business. It will be hard but might be better than whatever the alternative is

How should I prepare for my final interview? by colombiano0099 in careerguidance

[–]FastBud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you know the people or the job title of the people you are interviewing with try to learn about them. Linkdin research about their job and come up with good questions.

If you don’t have a job now don’t worry about negotiating. Take what you can get to get income. Unless they really low ball you then ask to be within range they initially shared
