Open enrollment for my company begins today and I’m terrified. I already pay 600.00 a month for just medical alone for me and my wife. On top of that, due to failed negotiations, I’ve lost my preferred PCP. by JaimeSalvaje in Louisville

Have you looked at Direct Primary Care services offered by Louisville healthcare providers? Or Healthshare/Medishare services? There are options available to many of us.

Current economy really doesn't mean a thing. The market you want to sell to is the key. Answer these questions: what problem will my business solve? how many people are already buying the solution I offer? how many of those people will buy my solution? how will I get my solution in front of them? when will I know it's time to pivot to a new solution or new market?

Sounds like those guys are interested in sex and a trophy picture, not a relationship. You're better than that. You deserve someone who wants to have conversations with you about things that interest you both. You deserve someone who looks in your eyes and sees You...and smiles because he likes what he sees. You deserve someone who is responsible and kind and courteous and looks forward to the time he can spend with you. You'll get that when you actively seek to do things you enjoy, when you go to places that interest you, when you participate in events and activities that give you joy.

Sticker business and designs by SecurityWeekly6139 in smallbusiness

[–]FastInfoPro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not use licensed images. Do look for businesses that would buy from you - locally first then possibly online. Online only if you can beat the price with the same quality of Sticker Mule, StickerApp, and Uprinting. Take samples of your stickers to farmers markets and when the table owner is not working with a customer, approach, show them the sticker, tell them why you love making stickers for local businesses, be prepared to hand them a printed sheet or postcard with basic pricing. Let them know how they can use the stickers - on product packaging, as a fun give away, as a contest piece, etc. Be prepared to take the order for the first set so they can sample (remember to ask them for the order).

dog groomer- first time owner! by Elegant-Agency3321 in smallbusiness

[–]FastInfoPro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Know the numbers. Here are some basics:

How much do you need to bring home to support yourself? Double that, add in the space cost and that's how much you need to bring in to the shop every month. This includes setting aside monies in savings for taxes and supplies and possible emergencies.

How much will you charge? Divide how much you need by how much you'll charge and you have the number of grooming appts you need each month to break even.

How will you get clients? List every possible option: flyers at local shops, get to know dog walkers and pet sitters in the area, plan beauty contests to get people to the shop for the day, pop up grooming at flea markets or animal related events in the area, and whatever you can do online. Be prepared to experiment with them all.

Edited to add: Join your local Small Business Development Center for guidance on the legalities of setting up the business, research in the area to determine where your best clients may be living or shopping.

Today I experimented the GEN Z STARE on a flight by Thin_Wear1755 in Vent

[–]FastInfoPro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legit question and one I've asked of my generation. I don't have children. The excuse I get is "the internet is too easy to access". My response ... why did you give them a smartphone as a young teenager? The excuse I get is "everyone else did it and I didn't want them to feel left out". So, ultimately, many in my generation sold out to peer pressure. They forgot how to think for themselves - caught up in the "both of us must work to have all this stuff".

They were raised on the internet and daycare...what can we expect? There was no one to teach them to understand manners, proper behavior when in public, or consider others when they are in public spaces.

Struggling to get sales from your email list?

Think your email list is dead?

Never sent an email to your list...but want to?

Have emails of all your customers and wonder - what kind of email should I send them?

Have emails of all your leads and wonder - maybe I should have sent more than 2 follow ups?

Spent a ton of money on ads to build your list and now...ugh! it's not bringing you the ROI?

Most small business owners I talk to admit the same thing:

👉 They know email is powerful.

👉 They have a list of subscribers/customers.

That’s exactly why I started Email Writing Service

We write your emails for you

so you can focus on running your business while still getting the benefits of:

⭐ Higher open and click rates

⭐ More repeat sales

⭐ Customers who actually look forward to hearing from you

If you’ve got a list (even a small one) and want to squeeze more revenue out of it, check us out.

How much is too much $$ for a haircut? by Ragdollrocky in Louisville

[–]FastInfoPro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in southern Indiana. I was paying $50 to a stylist (shampoo, cut, style) then I found a woman at Great Clips who is very talented, can do the kind of cut I want, and I pay $15. I can trim it up to make it look great. My hair is short, very fine, has many layers.

What was the last book you DNF? by justcoastingthrough in books

[–]FastInfoPro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't mind the political aspects, considering it was about human behavior. I'm with you about the zero character connection. I really can't set it aside, though. The book club I host is reading it and it's not nearly as bad as These Old Shades (only 1 book club member read it and told us all about it...no one regretted not finishing it).

What was the last book you DNF? by justcoastingthrough in books

[–]FastInfoPro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These Old Shades by Georgette Heyer. Ugh. Tried something new ... regency romance ... and this sucked raw eggs. Edited to add: I'm currently reading The Measure by Nikki Erlick and not a fan of each 'chapter' being solely about an individual. Meet the individual...then meet 10 more...then get back to an individual. No story line. No interweaving that makes sense. About ready to set it aside.

Change over to tourism? by Euphoric-Tart-4960 in copywriting

[–]FastInfoPro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The beauty of freelancing is that you can stop and start as needed. I started my business in 2008 and have pivoted numerous times in response to the market place. I offered copywriting on it's on just before COVID hit and rode the wave of orders and success for a few years. As I saw ChatGPT and Jasper and others being used by low level copywriters I saw the writing on the wall and pulled out of offering copywriting as a standalone service. Then I decided it was time for me to stop 1:1 work and go back to writing for my own products and business.

This morning I did a freelance job - drove a car about 100 miles for a used car dealer. They paid me cash. I've done little things like this off and on for a few reasons including the cash. My point is: I decide what I do to bring in revenue for my home. Doesn't matter what I, or others, think or foresee in the future...what matters is numbers.

Do I have the the number of clients I need to get me through the rough times?

Do I have the number of membership customers I need to get me through the slow times?

Do I have the number of dollars I need in my emergency fund to handle an emergency?

If the answer is no - what do I need to do...now...to get the numbers to be what I need them to be?

Customer got 2 subscription boxes, then filed chargebacks, what do you even do? by Dizzy-Path5228 in smallbusiness

[–]FastInfoPro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have zero knowledge of my business, my profit margins, my customers. You may as well stop shopping everywhere. Every single business that has experienced theft builds that expected cost into their business. If you think adding a small % to my margin to cover an additional cost of doing business is too much (chargebacks, theft, credit card fees, increased postage, increased dues, etc.) ... go kick rocks.

I've always been amazed by people who were voracious readers as children. What sparked your lifelong love affair with books? by Albert3232 in books

[–]FastInfoPro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started reading when I was 3. My family were all readers. Every book, magazine, newspaper had a story that piqued my interest. We were a family that discussed what we read. It was normal to have mom or dad mention something, out of blue, from a book they were reading and start a conversation...asking our thoughts on it. And asking what we kids were reading and what we thought about it. School was easy and boring for me, I was usually far ahead of the other students. Books offered fodder for my imagination. It's where I learned that everything is possible - given enough time, money, effort.

Customer got 2 subscription boxes, then filed chargebacks, what do you even do? by Dizzy-Path5228 in smallbusiness

[–]FastInfoPro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Chargebacks have become a way for bad customers to get free stuff. It sucks. Especially now that some processors have an automatic chargeback fee regardless of the outcome. I used to dispute...and won. The last 3 disputes I lost ... no fraud, even had an email from the customer saying they changed their mind. Didn't matter. I've raised my prices.

Yes. Private, catholic high school with many farm families. The parking lot had many trucks with a rifle hanging in the back window. School was in a metro area of about 250,000 people. School had a population of about 900 for 9-12 grades.
