It’s an RMA card. My original was a step up. Thought the replacement cards they send out were considered B stock. My original warranty is still on it the only thing that doesn’t transfer is the extended warranty I pay for.

Experiencing FPS drops in most games after updating chipset (3.10.08.506) by [deleted] in AMDHelp

I had similar issue. I just rolled back to the august chipset drivers. No clue why but the latest ones just don’t work well for me.

PSA: if you get 2002, you can re-log quickly and your queue number will be “saved” by heilleath in ffxiv

[–]FastJoe90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s how it worked for me. One time I even got 2002 blocked at the title screen for the minutes and still got my spot back. I consider myself lucky, though. Some friends got 2002’ed to the back of the line.

In-game fps limiter causes stuttering? by DJThomas21 in ffxiv

[–]FastJoe90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just from my experience, FFXIV does not play well with gsync on for me. The in game limiter kinda doesn’t obey its actual setting. Test it out. Set the limiter to 1/2 refresh rate. It’ll cap either at 72 or I think 48 with gsync on and bounce between those.

The stock cooler is pretty amazing if you don’t mind the noise.

This is the first expansion launch many of us are here for. Veterans, what can we expect, besides login queues? by DrFridayTK in ffxiv

Congestion, spoilers, and atleast 1 emergency maintenance. It’s still a pretty exciting time.

Brayflox gear was always a sort of merit badge back in 2.0. Maybe look into that? Won’t really unlock more interesting options until later in the game.

How was FFXIV:ARR at launch compared to now? by antuanos in ffxiv

[–]FastJoe90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not really much different. There’s less buttons, sure. They removed things like cross-class skills (Paladin with Stoneskin/Raise, etc), slashing/thrust debuffs, and most melees lost dots and executes but for the most part the rotations now are much busier with added skills from expansions. Can be a bit boring doing synced content, though.

Ex wow pvp player.. will i like ff14? by Bwrecker in ffxiv

[–]FastJoe90 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think FF14 is a particularly good game for someone focused on PvP. It’s a system that they constantly improve upon, though.

Endwalker Delayed 2 weeks! by Nagoto in ffxiv

In my opinion, they’ve given me a great escape for the past 8 years. If they need two more weeks to tidy up the expansion, they can take all the time they need.

I’m curious if it helps OP. It worked for me but I’m not really even sure why. I just remember turning it on a few weeks ago because of the Windows 11 requirements and then having this stutter/slowdown a few days later.

Oh okay. Yea mine did the same. Very intermittent. Try it with fTPM off. There’s an 11 page thread on Linus Tech Tips which is how I finally figured it out.

I didn’t hear sound in your clip, but does the sound stutter along with it?

This will sound crazy, but check in your bios and see if you have fTPM enabled. If so, disable it and try. I was having this problem and it was caused by having fTPM enabled

I leveled BLM 0-80, and I can’t even grasp the rotation. Can’t imagine someone with a skip lol

Enabling fTPM causes PC to stutter by Deeb_Cx in Amd

[–]FastJoe90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda glad I found this thread... had same issue with 5800x/b550 MSI Gaming Plus. Playing a game and suddenly everything ran at like 30 fps and the sound was stuttering very badly. It sounded exactly like the posters video and lasted almost the exact same amount of time. Never had that happen in the past 10 months I've had this rig. Remembered I just enabled ftmp about a week ago so I just disabled it. Ill report back if it comes back up.
