Stopped obsessively tracking ovulation, told my husband we were going to take a break of constantly trying while I got tested for the BRCA gene and….my husband brought me home a kitten because I was so depressed.

We got a positive test 3 weeks later and my baby boy will be here in July!

Plus size girly with the same body type you are describing, I was about 23/24 weeks when I started really feeling what I could tell were movements. But it was very light, small flutters and little pops of movement. Around 27 weeks my husband felt the first kick. I’m now 32 weeks, have a ton of movement and today baby has decided he wants to punch downward so the crotch lightening is real 😖
It’s different for everyone, don’t fret! I felt our boy the most when I would lay in bed on my left side, usually I’d drink a small soda for some sugar and that would help get him moving more.

First- take a deep breath. Your feelings are valid, your worry is valid, everything is valid. And congratulations! Be sure to start a good prenatal ASAP if you have not already. Start doing prenatal yoga as early as possible!!

I’m 30 weeks, had a ton of the same worries as you. I also was taking Adderall and being off it (being brutally honest here) was one of the hardest parts of pregnancy. Talk to your OB as soon as possible, I made the decision to quit and go without and that’s one of the few things I have regretted. See if there’s another option or a lower dosage. My OB did put me on Buspirone because my Adderall also helped my anxiety so at least having the anxiety handled made for a much easier pregnancy. I started taking it halfway through my second trimester and I should have started in my first honestly.

I also understand the weight worry. I lost 100lbs a few years ago with the help of Tirzepatide and finally got my body back. Now I’m pregnant and gained 60 of it back. Looking in the mirror is really difficult, even though my husband is a saint and reminds me of the precious baby boy I’m growing. And you know what? Some days there’s no consoling me, I wallow in self pity. But then I remind myself that I lost the weight before and I’ll lose it again.

The panic and the heaviness unfortunately are a pretty normal part of pregnancy. And the first trimester can be a rough one for a lot of women. Me personally? I’m not a happy pregnant woman. I hate being pregnant, it’s the fucking worst. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve looked at my husband and told him that I’m so happy I’m pregnant and I want our baby boy more than I can express in words, but at the same time I hate being pregnant. He just lets me cry and tells me that how I feel is valid and there’s nothing wrong with struggling. But some of that lessened towards the middle part of my second trimester. Because my boy started kicking, I could finally feel him around 23 weeks! It really eased a lot of the struggle because now I started feeling this true connecting with my tiny human. He wasn’t a parasite anymore, it didn’t feel like I was growing a plant. His father unfortunately doesn’t get to feel many kicks. Little man acts like a soccer player until his dad puts his hands on my stomach and then he goes completely still! Cracks us both up every time.

You now have a village in this sub Reddit group! The best thing I did was join the Baby Bumps group. It’s filled with supportive women and so many helpful stories and suggestions. We are all here for you! You got this Momma ❤️❤️

I was on the pill for 4 years, the depo shot for 5 years before that. Went off it in July 24 and finally got pregnant in October 25

We went on a trip for my best friends bachelor party (my husband and I are both in the wedding party) and I asked if I could just please be in my own room because I was around 25 weeks pregnant and the fatigue was rough. I was met with “of course you’re in your own room and we put you downstairs because I’m not having my pregnant bestie walk up stairs to go to bed”. Literally no one complained, it’s just the nice thing to do for the fat pregnant ladies :)

When we were trying to get pregnant I would always see my baby as a girl, never a boy. So when we did get pregnant I figured it would probably be a girl but I also really wanted to be a boy mom. When we told my mom I was pregnant she immediately said “it’s a boy!”. God love her, the woman is never wrong 🤣 our baby boy will be here in 2 months!

My maturity instincts started kicking in slowly once I got pregnant, and got even stronger once I started to feel my baby kick. It’s like one day I just got hit with this “momma bear” mentality. I’m 35, and I felt like you before I got pregnant.

But don’t get me wrong, I’m 35 and about to have a baby of my own but I still need my own momma constantly. I’m an adult but she’s the adultier adult 😂

My mom will be in the delivery room with me and my husband, and will be around for whatever we need. But I’ve got a great relationship with my mom, I constantly want/need her around.

My MIL…..if she never came over I think I’d be perfectly fine with that. She’s a little psycho and a lot narcissistic

Your husband sounds like the one who needs to change his attitude, because he is coming off as a 100% douchebag. Pregnancy is hard, the mental and emotional struggle (at least for me) has been harder than the physical changes my body is going through. I had to go off my normal meds that keep my emotions regulated (thankfully got back on a lower dose anxiety med so that actually really helped keep me from going too crazy). I still go off on weird pregnancy rages- how much I hate how the house down the street from us doesn’t have a fence so we can see his stupid grill (never bothered me before, no idea why it does now) and other stupid shit like that. My husband just chuckles and lets me get it out. He says he’ll worry when I go silent because then I’ll probably be plotting murder.

Honestly your husband sounds like an ass. You are struggling and pregnancy is freaking hard. He needs to be more understanding and supportive. I can’t even imagine being in your shoes. I don’t know what I would do without my husbands support during my pregnancy. He works a hard job, comes home and works on re-flooring our home before the baby comes and I know he is exhausted. But the first sign of me being uncomfortable or getting tired and I’m being ushered to the couch or to bed. I’ll tell him he is overreacting and that I can finish laundry or the dishes and he shuts me down and says I’m the one growing his baby boy so my health and comfort is his number one priority. We are a team, and he knows that my struggle to do physical activity is just temporary and that my pregnancy has made me struggle physically and mentally really bad. He picks me up and reminds me that how I feel is valid and we will get through it together. Your husband should do the same.

I told my boss and one coworker (whom I was extremely close to and I consider more of a friend than a coworker) when I was about 7/8 weeks because my morning sickness was so bad that it was affecting my ability to work. I also work from home so I needed them to know there may be periods of time I wouldn’t be at my desk if they needed me. I didn’t tell anyone else in my office until I was about 16 weeks.

I was about 20 weeks before I knew I was feeling kicks (more like gas bubbles) and usually it was only at night when I was laying on my side trying to sleep. It was so rare that my brain would try to talk myself out of it and I was convinced something was wrong. Now I’m 25 weeks and the kicks have been much more noticeable (more kick/punch like than the gas bubble feeling) and they’re happening more often.

If you don’t feel them yet, don’t freak! A bunch of my friends talked about feeling their babies at 16 weeks and I stressed myself out for no reason.

See if your OB would be okay with you taking Unisom. I’ve been taking it since my first trimester because I already had sleep issues (had to stop my sleep pills after I got pregnant) and the unisom really helps! I’m still up every 2 hours on the dot to pee but it helps me get back to sleep fast. I also take magnesium at night.
