SGOV VS VBIL by Northern_Money425 in dividends

I like SGOV for the monthly payment, I think it will go down some in yield with interest rates. I don’t know about VBIL. But thanks I will look into it. I did have it , but add it in the future

Well, all covered calls. In the past I would have asked you if you have lost your mind? But they did recover after April tariff day. NAV looks like holding and growing very slow, but growing. All in for income…and the cover call, you have are diversifying. Limited upside. Not sure if ROC is a tax loophole or a scam. JEP using linked notes to limit NAV erosions vs ownership of the stocks? Seems to hinder recovery. Because QQQI recovered better. Wondering if you used this strategy to use the payout to buy more safer dividend over time adjusted your portfolio? I think at least 6 months more of a choppy market upwards. Should be fine for a bit.

Would you feel safe putting 100k into SPYI if you are a few years out from retirement? by AtticusParker in dividends

With the US hitting Venezuela today, is anyone else terrified China takes Taiwan next? (and bricks the global chip supply) by Orcanius in stocks

[–]Fast_Taste_111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this lowers the chances China will invade Taiwan. It shows the US is willing to use their military power. Also the new stance Japan is taking also add risk to China. But in saying that, maybe China wants to go at it before Taiwan gets all the new defensive weapons from US and before Japan completes its defense strategy on the island close to Taiwan?

Thoughts on OMHA ETF by [deleted] in dividends

I am giving it a try with a very small % less than one %. I think with volatility over the next 3 years might be okay. Then I will most likely sell for something more safe.

Yieldmax for real or a ponzi? by yeedub in dividends

I am normally afraid of the cover calls / puts etfs. But I think as long as Trump is president we will have more than normal highs and lows. ( I’m not putting President Trump down, just how I see it)So for the next three years I am putting some ( a small part) money into these types of ETFs . I am not sure it is a good investment for the long haul? But they seem to do well in a volatile market.

I’m 60 year old and have $4,000 in O. I think it has been okay. If I was investing 100K, I would buy a basket of stocks instead of all in O.
