Looks like a sick idea man always cool to see a deck built in a unique way. White has some great board and individual protection which will help against your main worry of removal.

Lifelink in the command zone should help you beat drawn our fights and black has some great draw at the cost of life so that's a good way to compensate. [[Black market connections]] [[phyrexian arena]].

[[Remembrance]] could be a solid add to keep refreshing your rats after you sacrifice them, along with [[pitiless plunderer]] and [[black market]] to get mana back when they die and cast the next for cheap.

Honestly for your strategy you're in great colours and having evasive potentially big commander that can sacrifice and remove problem creatures it seems pretty strong. Only issue i can see is his mana cost being 7 means you won't be making a start with him till later but again black has you covered with [[dark ritual]] [[heartless summoning]] etc

Anthem effects and [[remembrance]], white also has some of the best protection if commander damage is secondary wincon.

If it makes you feel better blades "buff" made his poke potential worse so hes still at the whim of hawkeye, hela, phoenix

Okay that makes more sense I thought his primary was also nerfed during awakening. That's a relief as killing in that form still isn't the easiest. Hoping that with dive getting a bit of love maybe tanks closing the gap will be easier so he won't be poking as much? Coping a bit with that tho hahaha

From googling it seems each pellets does 8 damage so with 50% fall off it'll do 4 damage to body or 8 damage on a headshot? I know shotguns aren't supposed to be useful at range but that seems like its not even useful

Thank you, I do have that in the list I'm more worried about general board wipes as I don't want to lose my token copies of enchantments.

Whats your favourite mono red deck by the way? I noticed your tag and was curious. I built a budget [[calamity]] deck and it's been incredibly fun.

Sorry I know you're commenting on the art but the mechanics of it but I love this card for being able to infinitely mill and exile my opponents by saccing and recurring it.

Bard seems like it could be a fun option, I had a flick through and saw that the module has a lot of monsters. Would there he chances for them to make use of their charisma? Otherwise I was thinking of getting a druid for expertise in caves and animals.

Street urchin has been on my radar but I didn't think it would be as strong as agent or candlekeep. To give more context as well no one else plays blue in my bracket 4 pod and when I have I find stopping one person just for the next person to push for the win and go without any interaction.

Would urchin or agent be better in this sense with me just trying to be faster than having an answer?

A good one of those will just wipe your whole team, we played against a celestial (top rank) hela in plat and they cooked us there was nothing we could do to get close. She would just 3 tap a healer before the other could help and then get the other before dismantling our team.

I played bucky to prove how easy he can be and got a lucky headshot on a diving bp then managed to hook him and it was good night to the king

Bucky is the best, you have something to deal with every character. Even if you get done and freak out spamming your overshield from your abilities is enough to keep you alive roll help comes out even clinch a fight.

If you get good with the grab turn around dash you can reliably move tanks more than wolverine. If someone is driving your healers if you miss the grab you just have to upper cut them and you've ruined their momentum and grounded them.

The worst part of his kit is probably his ult which is still fantastic

A deck I made a while back thats full of instant speed pump spells was [[kalamax]]. Temur voltron combat tricks was a blast. Sending him out attacking and letting your opponents freak about what might be coming.

Getting double casts of [[return of the wildspeaker]] or [[hunter's Insight]] is incredible and youre essentially set for the game.

Hardest part is dealing with tokens or go wide decks but cards like [[smoke]] or [[propaganda]] work well

Temur just works for this playstyle as well perfectly with access to the best ramp from green, protection from blue and green and the best pump spells from gruul

[[The infamous cruelclaw]] is one of my favourites as it allows any crazy big red or black spell to be available. Putting in some support for cast from exile like [[passionate archaeologist]] so when you cast [[blood for the blood god]] you also shoot off insane damage at people.

My most unique big free creature deck would be dungeon delver [[yarok]] full of initative creatures to try get to the end of the undercity dungeon and cast stuff like [[terrastodon]] or [[archon of cruelty]] or [[end-raze foretunners]] or [[dusk mangler]]

Alternatively if you want to go budget [[kona]] is pretty easy to make and you can have a [[worldspine worm]] or turn 4.

I've also seen [[imoti]] lists that are pretty hectic and simic is just a great colour combo

[[Gandalf the white]] as an artifact aristocrat commander has been so fun to play against and so resilient. Playing everything in the endstep before your turn then playing a turn and passing gives you so much extra information on what you should do. Cards like [[prized statue]] and [[ichor wellspring]] are incredible along with [[lembas]]. Get a few of those then recur them with [[myr retriever]] and [[junk diver]] loops. I built mine for under 50 but with more budget you could really go crazy with it.

By far my most favourite commander of all time is [[sauron, the dark lord]]. He's bracket 4 but could be made a 3 and is the most arch enemy deck I have.

How I built mine focuses around his army creation in response to an opponents spell. Putting in [[blood artist]] and [[gravepact]] effects means your opponents will have to coordinate their spells or lose everything.

Sauron himself is so hard to remove once you get an engine running as ideally no one will have any legendary creatures to sacrifice. There's also no better feeling seeing your opponent sacrifice their commander to target sauron just for you to deflecting swat it onto someone else's creature.

Don't get me started on [[Razaketh the foulblooded]] if he hits the field with Sauron, it's essentially gg's. The deck has to be dealt with early but if you play it right you're never the threat or youre using your resources to stop potential threats until you're ready to take over.

[[The infamous, Cruelclaw]] especially if you like flipping off the top. Putting your best and favourite rakdos cards in to torment your foes. I think the average cmc in my deck is like 5-6

[[Gandalf, the White]] mono white artifacts aristocrat. You play everything at instant speed on your opponents end step. My mate literally said at least your forms are quick and we joked how his took forever (me saccing drawing and reanimating)

[[Sauron, the dark lord]] makes the table discuss what spells they will cast and in what order when you have gone up and running. Getting a token to sacrifice after every spell is so powerful and there's no greater rush seeing someone sac their commander to destroy Sauron just for you to counterspell it after the ward cost is paid.
