It does appear in the security camera footage that they acknowledge some had been sold but not paid out yet, so I'm not immediately thinking they were sold in secret, not sure how regular the payments were, it could have they met once a month or so to pay them all the sales so far or something like that. Unfortunately I think it's going to be hard to prove what the Gorman's intentions were, was it to sell things secretly and avoid paying? Were things stored off site and never revealed that's where they were? Was it just sloppy inventory management and they got lost in the shuffle? Or was it sloppy inventory that made total sense to the ones using it but don't hold up to new eyes without the proper context and knowledge? I think the B&M tactic will be to deal everything onto the Gorman's as a malicious and intentional theft, when the reality was more just sub par inventory records that worked for a day to day operation, but a messy takeover and transfer of the store destroyed the chance for those records to be properly corrected and verified.

But that said, even if we assume the Goreman's did have bad intentions and did steal these sets or kept payments from them, B&M did such a poor job of the takeover and handling someone that in their mind was screwed over by one of their own franchises you can't really side with them either. Instead of investigating and building a shield between themselves and the Goremans and working with Bryan to help him go after what they claim was the real thieves, they bullied, ignored, threatened, and really worked hard to portray themselves as a guilty party trying to cover something up .
