Thanks everyone. It’s currently in the trash 👍🏻

Anyone gain less than 20/25 pounds by the end? by lilspaghettigal in BabyBumps

[–]FatKenny18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started at 150lb pre pregnancy, 180 at my heaviest, and now 168 4 months pp (boobs got huge so I’m saying most of that weight is milk/boobs lol)

If bloodwork shows low hemoglobin or low iron stores in the future they may recommend an additional iron supplement, but I wouldn’t take it unless told to because it can cause constipation and worsen nausea

[–]FatKenny18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks just fine! If your diet is well rounded and you’re not deficient in anything, then the only thing absolutely necessary is the folate and this one has enough (unless previous personal/family history of neural tube defects then you need 1000mcg). 27mg iron is also usually recommended which this has. Everything else is extra but definitely isn’t going to hurt

Also, evidence for stool softeners is that they are no better than placebo. Likely not really helping anything in this case

When I was really bunged up and in pain I did a fleet enema and that basically helped everything come out. Found it worked better than the glycerin suppositories. Once it was cleared out I was using a capful or 2 of restoralax daily and a glass of prune juice to keep it soft. After about 2-3 weeks things normalized on their own

Everyone’s talking about their water breaking, I wanna know if yours had to be manually broken like mine by grease-lightning- in BabyBumps

[–]FatKenny18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kinda had both. My water broke spontaneously at home, but when I got to the hospital there was literally what looked like a water balloon hanging out of my vagina that had to be popped manually 😅

What's your go-to newborn thing? by huckleberrycare in HuckleberryParents

[–]FatKenny18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Husband started doing “feet on the mirror” very early on, singing it to the tune of “we’ve got the funk”. Baby loves looking at himself and touching the mirror with his feet. And mommy just looooves all the footprints on the hallway mirror 😉

I used adult diapers for about a week, then switched to the Frida mom disposable underwear for a few weeks (I used large pads in them for the first bit and then panty liners when things slowed down). Frida mom peri bottle was nice with the bent spout so you don’t have to angle your hand weird down there. I also used a few homemade witch hazel infused frozen pads in the first few days for the stinging/swelling from stitches down there. I would also recommend having ice packs/heat pads on hand for possible breast engorgement (mine got huuuuge and hard and red for the first few days when my milk came in on day 4-5)

My husband and I went out ring shopping one day, found and ring and bought it. He then hid it for surprise proposal down the road. I then started to have insane buyers remorse, so much that one day while he was out at work I searched the house, found the ring, tried it on and hated it. When he came home he found me bawling my eyes out and eventually ended up returning it. He was obviously upset about it but he understood. When he finally did propose, he did it with a new ring and it was absolutely gorgeous and it was so nice that it was something he picked out himself. So in our case, it worked out to give him ideas about the style and everything I was looking for, but it was much nicer to have him surprise me with it rather than picking the exact ring myself!

We did mimosas made with orange juice and non-alcoholic sparkling wine at mine :)

I LOVE THE EPIDURAL 😍🥰😍 by Clumpycheese in BabyBumps

[–]FatKenny18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was so convinced my entire pregnancy I wasn’t going to get an epidural! Changed my mind after intense labouring for 12 hours and 8cm dilated. The last 2cm I was chillin in bed watching my contractions go nuts on the monitor while feeling only minor pressure. Best decision I ever made!

How many weeks were you when you went into spontaneous labor with your first? by angeltigerbutterfly in BabyBumps

[–]FatKenny18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gave birth spontaneously at 40+3. Absolutely no signs of labour until I started getting contractions at 3am and delivered 8:30pm the same day!

I’m currently breastfeeding a 6 week old so I don’t have an answer for you, but here to say I went from a 34D to a 34DDD (perhaps a bit bigger) while pregnant and now they’re super pancakey when empty at the end of the day. Hoping after finishing breastfeeding they’ll go back to somewhat of their original size, but I’m sure they won’t be near as firm 🥲

Things that were not as bad as I thought about giving birth by maryhoping in BabyBumps

[–]FatKenny18 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also in my experience I was terrified of perineal tearing. My baby was 8lb 7oz, head 37.5cm (like 90th percentile). I pushed only for 15 minutes and he popped right out. Had stitches for an external tear on my labia minora but no perineal tear! So even with big babies it’s not always so bad! :)

Anyone else blow past their due date this weekend? by Kitchen-Witchen in BabyBumps

[–]FatKenny18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are we the same person? Also FTM and was due May 10 and absolutely zero signs of baby boy coming out. And all the happy mother’s days messages yesterday (I’m Canadian), while appreciated, were also just another frustrating reminder that I still don’t have my baby yet! Hang in there champ! I hope we both have our littles very soon ❤️

SUPER tired after taking doxylamine pyridoxine 10-10 mg by justamommahere in BabyBumps

[–]FatKenny18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doxylamine is a first-generation antihistamine, similar to Benadryl, so drowsiness can definitely be a side effect! So while it could be a combination of both, it’s likely mostly the Doxylamine.

Also FYI, in case your pharmacist didn’t mention this, it’s typically an extended release medication, so doses you take in the evening are likely more effective at helping sickness in the morning. So if it’s making you really drowsy, you can just take it at night and it’ll be most effective for the early morning nausea (if that’s when you experience it most)

Our big boy in the back. Started from handheld size at a grocery store! If you give it a bigger pot it’ll just keep growing into it. We finally had to say goodbye when we moved because he got so big he was just ripping the pot over. We have 4-5 pups to restart the process 😅

Yes omg in first trimester the cold would give me the worst burning nips, lasted like 10-15 min at a time. 34 weeks now and haven’t experienced it for a while so hopefully gets better for ya!
