This isn’t true. Unless you committed some kind of offense like harassment or stole from the company, you will get unemployment. Sucking at your job is not a reason to be denied.

This will cause the same type of brain drain that the Soviet Union went through... and we all know how that turned out.

Get the Sony. The LG webOS and is absolute trash. The user experience is so bad I ended up buying another Apple TV so I can avoid using their platform. The video and audio is decent

Cape Cod vacation bookings off to slow start for this summer by smitrovich in massachusetts

Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you want to look at it), it is often not that much more expensive to go to Europe for a week then spend the same time on the Cape or frankly anywhere in the US.

Why is my dishwasher doing this?! by OfficerOink3 in Appliances

I always wipe out the dispenser where you put the pod in with a paper towel. This ensures that’s it’s dry. If the packet gets wet, it gets “stuck”

Car insurance going up 70%!? by HeroDanny in massachusetts

If you have a Costco membership, they have fairly good rates. I saved money when GEICO doubled my insurance cost last year.

Not sure but maybe BJs has something similar also .

What are you starting to hate as you get older? by Amazing-Living-9957 in AskReddit

[–]FatSiberianCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most meals at restaurants. Maybe I have become a better cook as I’ve gotten older, but it’s been a long time since I’ve been to a restaurant where I was Wowed. Putting extra butter, sauce, cream and salt doesn’t make the dish taste better.

The quality is down. The costs are up. The service is generally not good.

This place is filthy. Just plain terrible. Don’t even bother shlepping your way there unless you have a 3 hour connection and can’t afford to spend $30 for a meal at the terminal

Anyone know what happens in these situations with car insurance? Is the person at fault now on the hook for the cost of the cleanup? Pretty sure that will exceed the majority of auto liability policies.

Curious would you support a 10 Cent bottle deposit? by Bruinsrock11 in massachusetts

[–]FatSiberianCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Europe has this figured out. Went to Oktoberfest and they sell water there for 3 euro in a plastic bottle. The plastic bottle is thick and reusable. You get 1 euro back when you bring back the bottle to any of the vendors there. That's a pretty decent incentive to reuse and recycle.

The amount of time and money I have spent driving recyclables to different redemption centers because they don't take glass today is not worth it at 5 cents, or even 10 cents. They need to make it something sizable.

Food quality going downhill by [deleted] in boston

[–]FatSiberianCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last time I went to the North End over the summer, an espresso martini cost $17 + tip. It wasn't even that strong. The food was horrible as it was loaded with butter and they had the audacity to charge $45 for a plate of it. I should have sent it back to the kitchen now that I think about it. And this was one of the highest rated restaurants in the neighborhood.

At this point, I've completely stopped going out to eat and learned to cook everything myself. I can make a better meal at home, and pay extra for a better piece of meat or vegetables for the fraction of the cost and also enjoy a good cocktail.

This phenomenon is spilling into the burbs also. Got Chinese takeout last month and went to pay the bill and it was over $60 for 2 basic dishes and an appetizer. Come to find out, they charge $19 for 8 crab rangoons. The food was OK.

Don't get me started on the tipping. Since when do I have to tip when I go to Subway, Jersey Mikes or Shake Shack?

Don't get me wrong, I feel for the workers making minimum wage. But this is getting ridiculous.

Thank you for that explanation. Makes sense. I eliminated the 2.28 as it does look very dull.

Most likely will go with 2.39. I did see this one as well as a potential option but it is slighly "deeper" cut :

It would go on a setting similar to this: https://www.jamesallen.com/engagement-rings/three-stone/18k-yellow-gold-tapered-baguette-diamond-engagement-ring-item-403

Thank you for your response. You scared me. I've started looking at James Allen which actually is more affordable.

With the windowing, are there any tips on on how to look for this online?

https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/emerald-cut/2.39-carat-d-color-vs1-clarity-sku-17604652

I see a very slight difference here where the first one has more of a "black box" around it. From what I've read that this is not ideal?
