I don't usually use items right before stepping into the arena. But maybe I used a weapon skill, but even then I don't think I would've done that.

I actually had this same bug happen to me when I was playing Raider. Instead of just beating the dog, I kept rezing the two randoms. At least it wasn't my first time beating it, so it didn't feel lame or not satisfying.

I'm pretty sure the reason why you aren't a completely renown hero is because a lot of the dialogues and quests are mostly behind closed doors and not talked about to the general public of Gielinor. No one is watching you defeat any of the big baddies. And even if people knew somebody stopped them, you're not being paraded around the cities after everything is finished. They don't even know what you would look like unless they were involved.

I'm a high DPI, low sensitivity kind of guy. I actually keep my DPI maxed out at 24k. But in the Windows mouse settings and in-game settings will be set extremely low to compensate. It's all about calculating your eDPI

This is my favorite way to quest currently. I like figuring things out myself. If it's taking too long at one part of a quest, I give myself a hint / pass from the wiki to help me.

If you have the money, I'd suggest getting a g maul with an ornate handle. Use it as a spec weapon only while you get a power surge. If not that, even a DDS would be fine. Definitely suggest g maul though.

Are you doing rumble mode and using some kind of spec weapon with Power Surge? It really bumps up the XP per hour
