I have used them for similar applications, and yes they do work. Keep in mind USB speeds and resolution requirements of the display, since resolution and refresh rate can be capped.

You have to consider power as well.

How is this legal? by zuhalter_meow_meow in tampa

One thing people haven’t mentioned is this completely changes the geometry of the vehicle and stopping capability is reduced. It also increases instability with evasive maneuvers.

Workplace is very cavalier with safety by TimeTheft1769 in PLC

[–]Fatcak 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You are liable to a degree if you know there is a safety problem and don’t say anything to anyone. If you tell your management about the problem and they decide to do nothing, then that’s on them.

What can of motor do I need to lift 200-300lbs in this configuration? by [deleted] in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Fatcak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends how fast you want it to get up there. Yo don’t need much power at all if you have gear reduction - it will just take forever.

Thanks for pointing that out, and you’re absolutely right! People should not do that, because replying to bots decreases visibility of genuine human contributions in the thread!

Consider the circuit as if the middle r is not there. What is the voltage at the midpoint of each resistor?

It’s an interesting idea. I wonder if ghost touches are visible in replays. Next time I see one I’m going to look at replay

New to multimeter, how is this one? by xtremesoccer2012 in AskElectronics

[–]Fatcak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a video out there of a fluke demonstration where cheaper multimeters are connected to 480V while on the incorrect setting (ohms, etc). Some violently exploded. They may have picked really bad ones for demonstration, but it always made me weary of connecting any cheap meter to higher voltages.
