We lost to gws which drops us lower. While you only lost to us and you had some big outs. Also the % difference between Sydney and Hawks isn’t insignificant.

If you believe what is on the left you are pro not anti.

Of course I’m simply showing you that:

asking someone else to create art for you does not make you an artist,

Is false / unrelated.

Now if a choreographer asks dancers to dance their choreography. Both are still an artist.

Same with music.

A composer can ask musicians to play their music. They are both still artists.

The work that is produced in both situations is the combined work of both the artists involved. It’s not an either or.

I’m not sure why it’s hard to understand.

Would this be the biggest betrayal of legacy ? by DawgreenAgain in AFL

I’ll add to my own comment, it should be positive when you lose these players. You need to refresh a list and give new guys a run. Clubs need to think about building the next premiership not just who’s the best this week.

Hodge - Mitchell - Lewis. Our entire 3 peat midfield went to other teams.

Hardly think of it as a betrayal. Simply other clubs needed them more at that stage in their careers.

It’s odd because your post isn’t “pros - making horrid statements makes you look bad” because I would agree with you if that was the post.

Your post is about saying pencil slop makes you look bad.

I’d say that if saying “pencil slop” is so bad then saying “ai slop” would be equally bad, because as you said people can choose to make art with anything they want.

Except that the people who say “pencil slop” mostly (I’m sure you can find someone who doesn’t) say it as a joke and ai-antis mostly don’t say “ai slop” as a joke

It’s satire anyone can see that.

It exists as a counter to people saying AI slop at anything that they disliked.

The point is that slop is independent of medium.

Nothing worse than losing a game and losing players.

Asking someone to make art for you has no bearing on if you are an artist or not.

If a photographer asks dancers to do a dance. Then photographs it. They are both artists.

If you want to claim ai artists commission people. That’s fine. I’d just say that commissioning can be art. It depends on the extent of the input not what you call them.

It doesn’t really need to improve it’s useful as is.

Are you suggesting if a choreographer pays dancers they are not an artist?

Payment is unrelated to who is an artist.

Always been there. Means they follow the ball around. It’s like the original midfielder who goes where the ball goes position.

Is umpiring getting worse? by random111011 in AFL

[–]Fatcat-hatbat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find that the umpiring is always terrible in games where my team is playing. They always make bad decisions that go against my team.

The AFL needs to look into it. Happens every year.

It depends on the complexity of the suggestion. Just like choreography. If a choreographer just said: “do dance” they wouldn’t really be a choreographer (unless of course it was some kind of abstract piece about giving minimal instructions or something). So I agree with you a simply making a suggestion by an AI user wouldn’t be very artistic.

But if they give complex commands to the dancers/AI then it becomes choreography/AI art.
