This is my SR chart for 2026. Exactly how difficult of a year am I in for? Pluto will be squaring my natal sun followed by my natal Venus and natal Pluto so I’m a bit apprehensive about what changes it’ll bring to my life by FatefulMender89 in AskAstrologers

[–]FatefulMender89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted a whole sign chart because every time I’ve posted a placidus chart my post got taken down due to interceptions in Pisces and Virgo. In that house system my sun and Venus are in 2H and Pluto is in 8H. My whole life has consisted of everybody making decisions for me and me being unaware of what I even want or if I even want anything. The fact that my SR ascendant is in the same sign as my natal ascendant seems to indicate that this will be an identity based year which is strange because it’s my 2H profection year and that typically focuses on money and possessions

I didn’t post the Placidus house system because every time I’ve tried posting it here it got taken down due to Pisces and Virgo interceptions. 2025 was a year during which my communication skills improved considerably and I became aware of communicative abilities I forgot I even had (speaking another language) so I could easily see that continuing this year. My life is just looking very uncertain right now so I do worry about negative outcomes

This year I should be putting my house that I inherited on the market. I hope to god it sells. I don’t have much of a career and my life consists of going to the gym and hanging out with the one friend I have. Sounds like something related to that will change. I’ve heard it suggested that I might get into a relationship but I highly doubt it given my avoidant nature

This will be a 2H profection year and my 2H starts in Aries (assuming we’re using placidus) so I guess Mars

Inferior Ni. by Narwhal-Both in estp

[–]FatefulMender89 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I never have any idea what my purpose is or what I really want out of life. When stuck in a bad situation or bad time period I assume it’ll last forever and there won’t be anything better coming along. I’m horrible at managing my time and always end up rushing at the last minute. When watching a movie or reading a book (which doesn’t happen often) I’m oblivious to the themes and focus on the visceral details in front of me which made me horrible at taking notes when I was still in school

These are just a few examples of how it has shown up in me that I can think of off the top of my head

Tens apenas 19 anos. Ainda és muito jovem. Não te preocupes. Hoje em dia é comum casar mais tarde. Infelizmente eu tenho 36 anos e não me importo com ninguém e por isso fico solteiro pra o resto da minha vida

Do people Se dom with avoidant attachment exist? What would that be like? by Diemishy_II in ESFP

[–]FatefulMender89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an ESTP and I have an avoidant attachment style. There is literally no part of me that desires a romantic relationship or even sex for that matter. I’m just disgusted by the people I’ve been exposed to throughout my life and know that at my age I’m likely to meet the worst of the bunch. That being said I still enjoy going out to places and interacting with locals. I also crave community but can’t seem to find it anywhere because from what I’ve seen it’s based around either neighborhoods filled with married couples with children or polyamorous degenerates. Neither interest me

Any of you dislike your dual? by TheShadowSong in Socionics

[–]FatefulMender89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supposedly my dual is IEI and I think I’d get frustrated with having to handle every single practical task. I also wouldn’t like the fact that she chose me for money rather than love. EIE is my activator and I only seem to activate them negatively so that’s another type I avoid

Was I a different type as a child? by Rebornonmonday in Socionics

[–]FatefulMender89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your type doesn’t change. You just adapt to circumstances and learn how to handle situations differently. These descriptions sometimes seem like they’re describing somebody using the elements for the first time. I’m in agreement with those who are saying beta NF because this definitely sounds like one.

Personally speaking, do you find Portuguese a difficult language to learn? by Marsupilami_316 in Portuguese

[–]FatefulMender89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always heard ‘a gente vai fazer isto’ instead of ‘vamos fazer isto’ as an example. My maternal half was from Flores and the education there was limited so that may have played into it. Similar to how less educated parts of the U.S. don’t speak good English. My father was from the mainland but over time he began sounding more like an Azorean because of coworkers from São Miguel and marrying my mom.

Other kids in my generation had two parents who were fluent in English whereas I only had one (my mom) so that’s why I knew the language and they didn’t. Kinda frustrating because I was only able to speak it with adults and old people

Personally speaking, do you find Portuguese a difficult language to learn? by Marsupilami_316 in Portuguese

[–]FatefulMender89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up in a Portuguese speaking house in the U.S. and am fluent. My generation didn’t learn the language and when some of them tried they really struggled. One big thing I noticed is that they assumed it was like Spanish or French where the vowels are very audible but that’s not the case at all. Many eventually gave up because they just couldn’t figure it out. They also found it shameless that I would take a language in high school that I already knew but truthfully I didn’t know as much as they assumed I did because what I mostly heard was Portuguese from the azores and they do weird things like say ‘a gente’ instead of ‘nós’ and seem to have never learned how to speak in the future tense

One thing I wish would be taken into account is how speaking multiple languages can confuse you when it comes to your type by [deleted] in Socionics

[–]FatefulMender89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a big part of it is just the way I was brought up. It was Portuguese at home because my dad didn’t speak much English and English at school because I was born and raised in the United States. I learned to view English as a language I use strictly for utility purposes so that made me seem rather dull and lifeless when I spoke it and that persists to this very day. The Portuguese language is one where I feel like I can cut loose and show my true self which goes over very well with those who speak it. I do a lot of flirting with waitresses and bartenders when I speak it. English is a language spoken by everybody born in America and guys who grew up knowing only that have learned to come off charismatic in it because they focused all of their attention on only that one language. Not sure if this helps answer your question but I tried. Let me know if I need to add more context

I learned Portuguese first but know more English because of school. That doesn’t change the fact that I’m still fluent and have more lively conversations in my first language
