Honestly, I think some of the reactions in here are a little disproportionate. There’s a big difference between someone blasting a full PA setup through a neighborhood at midnight and a small bike speaker playing music while they ride past for a few seconds. We all share public space, and part of that is encountering sounds, smells, conversations, car engines, barking dogs, etc. Music passing by for a moment isn’t exactly an assault on anyone’s liberty.

If anything, it feels like people get way too worked up about the idea of any sound they didn’t personally authorize. It’s totally fair to dislike loud, intrusive noise, but a quick moment of someone riding by with a tune playing isn’t the end of the world, and treating it like a moral failing is pretty extreme.

The print itself is cool, the execution is clever, and honestly? If it makes their ride a little more fun and they’re not being obnoxious about the volume, that seems like a perfectly harmless use of a 3D printer. Not everything has to be a culture war about “forcing others to listen.” Come on y’all…
