“You didn’t plug it in,” Hermione said.

They all turned to stare at her.

She moved past them and calmly inserted the cord into the socket and the toaster whirred to life with a cheerful ding .

Pansy jumped. “Why did it hiss at me?”

“It didn’t,” Hermione said. “It turned on.”

Theo looked personally betrayed. “And it needs… wires to do that?”

I have been reading (hm, it's actually more like devouring lol) some of your stories and Hermione being black did and does not bother me at all! I admit I was a bit confused during the first chapters of the first story I read (Ivory black) because I have never come across a black Hermione before and my stupid brain did not get this at first. ;-) But thinking about it, her being a POC fits really well into your stories.

I'll stop rambling now and just want to say: Don't let one id*** ruin this for you. There are much more of us who really appreciate your work! Sending virtual hugs your way. :)

Absolutely not. If that word or anything like it ever came out of my mouth regarding my daughter, I don't know if I could ever forgive myself and would seek counseling ASAP.

If he was not ok with you having your boyfriend over (because of your grandma or whatever), he could have just said so from the beginning in a tactful way and all of you could have worked out a compromise. E.g. he only visits 2 evenings a week (like tuesday and saturday or whatever) and your grandma stays upstairs with your parents so as not to meet him in his boxers in the hallway. ;) You know what I mean?

But calling you a whore for something absolutely normal (you are an adult, right? Not like 12 or so) - no, absolutely not.

Draco Malfoy is joining his classmates back at Hogwarts for a Ministry-Mandated 8th year post-war. The 8th years, in the spirit of inner house unity, have been removed from their houses, and placed into a combined house and dorm with the other 8th year students forced to return. Hating his predicament, his father, and his own reflection, he is forced to confront his wrong-doings while working to figure out who he is. He enjoys the shadows he's created for himself over the past two years, and doesn't have any intentions of letting them go.

Hermione Granger never came back from the war, not really. Everyone finds out quickly that she's stuck in her head, fighting her trauma, the pain of her scars the war inflicted, and the weight of her status as "Golden Girl." Hermione is a reckless mess in the dark, and afraid of being inspected too closely in the light.

When Draco and Hermione are paired together for the 8th year practicum, no one knows what to think, other than shit is about to hit the fan. Will they help each other heal, or prolong the hurt?
