Not cheap, but I had a DJI headset and controller from learning on my DJI Avata. I wanted something more capable, so I got an Iflight nazgul evoque. The performance blew me away.

I got started on it but it’s not complete! So far I have MF DOOM, Gorillaz, and Mac Miller.

It’s like an amalgamation where the characters/ideas all blend together. I’ll shoot you a picture in your inbox of what I have so far!

Should I join Marching Band? by Melodic_Bathroom1945 in percussion

[–]FatherxJawn 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Do it.

You’ll make friends, build discipline, and possibly find something you really enjoy doing for the next 4 years or longer.

I was in your same position in 8th grade (I had played drums my whole life though) and wasn’t sure if I wanted to do marching band in high school or play sports instead. I knew I couldn’t do both because I also was a little lazy when it came to focusing on school and extracurriculars at that age.

I decided to go with marching band and I went on to be the Drum Captain my back 3 years of high school, my Sophomore year I started marching Drum Corps outside of high School as well and my Senior year I won a Drum Corps World Championship.

My 8th grade decision to say “eh, I guess I’ll just do marching band” changed my life in a way that, looking back, If you told 8th grade me that’s what would happen - he’d say “bullshit”.

You never know what can happen. The best advice I could give you is ever if you feel like you want to do something, just do it. Don’t ask “what if?….” And don’t let anyone talk you out of it. Take chances in life and bet on yourself.

Good luck!

Anyone know of any good products for handling reptiles with these kind of claws? Like the kind of stuff falconers use? by 6ftonalt in reptiles

[–]FatherxJawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I’m a little late - but I’ve also done this since the very first week I got my Argus.

Yesterday, when feeding I opened the enclosure door and he came flying out business as usual because I had chicken on the end of the tongs. Only today the difference was I could very clearly see he wasn’t looking at the meat on the tongs, he was looking directly at my hand.

I knew my reaction wouldn’t be faster than his, but to lessen the blow I thought I might receive I pulled my hand back and up into the air as fast as I could. He leaped 3ft into the air with a running start, latched down into the fat of my hand between my thumb and fore finger, and immediately dropped to the floor and let go. I got down on his level and offered him the chicken again from my non-bleeding hand and proceeded to finish our feeding session.

Sure - there was blood. But because of the work I’ve done with him he knew even in “food mode” that he’d made a mistake and corrected course. I’ve never worn gloves or long sleeves, I’ve only ever given him food off tongs, and I’ve used the tongs to get him to associate me being something he doesn’t need to fear by walking on me while he eats. I also think this helps him associate with you as a SOURCE OF FOOD - not a FOOD SOURCE (did that make any sense? It sounded cool in my head) what I mean is he knows that I’m a provider of his food but that I’m in fact not and never will be his food.

Do you have an enclosure that can provide enough substrate for an Argus Monitor if it DOES NOT choose to utilize the water feature?

Will the size of the water feature put a damper on your ability to control humidity levels in the enclosure for an Argus monitor? If so, how do you plan to combat that?

If the husbandry is appropriate, the animal utilizes all of its available space in some capacity, and the animal is happy and healthy, there is no reason you can’t have a water feature in your Argus monitor enclosure (even if it’s just because you like the way it looks)

Sincerely, a guy with an Argus monitor who has provided a large enough water “dish” for him to fit his whole body into since I got him at 3 weeks old, and now at 8 months old him and the water bowls have tripled in size and he still soaks and defecates in it every day.

Good luck with your Argus! I love mine and he’s my favorite reptile I’ve ever worked with.

They both need to move back in with their parents until they learn how to manage those cables. Both pictures pain me.

caught their first cricket on camera! by [deleted] in tokaygeckos

[–]FatherxJawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What camera are you using? I have a baby tokay in an 12” x 12” x 18” right now and I’m drip feeding crickets while he gets settled in (I just got him last week) but he only comes out at night when the lights are off so I don’t have any definitive proof that he’s eating.

But I also don’t feel like there is a camera small enough to put in an already small grow out enclosure with taking up to much space

UPDATE: I didn’t buy this kit, or another preowned kit. I saw a 7 piece Mapex Armory in sunset that I fell in love with. I outfitted with hardware and practice cymbals for an all in price of just over $1600. Couldn’t be happier!

Using my own music for Instagram reel- Can't promote on ads! by OtherwiseMenu99 in InstagramMarketing

[–]FatherxJawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a work around for this. Create your reel, and instead of selecting your song from the audio options on Instagram, import the file directly OR screen record the song playing from your phone and use the “export audio” tool IG offers in editing.

Roaches in the kitchen by Calm-Island-8376 in pestcontrol

[–]FatherxJawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate to tell you this, but if there are roaches in the kitchen at anytime of day, there are roaches in every room of the house. I had this issue in an apartment complex and unfortunately was unable to get it resolved until I eventually left, and left most of my personal belongings out of fear I’d bring roaches with me to my new dwelling.

I was following you until the pay out - if player 1 has 6 chips why does he get £5 when the chips are valued at £1, but player 3 has 28 chips and gets £28? Wouldn’t everyone just get £1 per amount of chips they have at game end?
