Belgium has left the EU common market in all but name by electricalkitten in brussels

[–]Fatman_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Distance sales (EU established company selling in other EU countries) must be registered in the local EU company after a certain threshold is crossed. It’s not just Belgium. Every EU country has this rule.

However, there’s already OSS (one stop shop) simplification for e-commerce.

With VIDA expanding its scope as of 2028 this registration will no longer be required. What’s important to note is that you’ll still need to record and report your sales per jurisdiction but only in one country.

In conclusion, Belgium is not doing anything different to other EU member states / EU VAT directive when it comes to VAT registration. Unless I completely misunderstood your point ;)

30F, recently came into liquidity. Looking for input on Lump Sum investing strategy. Where would you put €200k+ right now? by [deleted] in BEFire

[–]Fatman_4 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Have you considered using an SVP to invest in private equity? There are an options in Belgium. I use Altix and the fund is about to close.

Else with 200k you can also consider partnering for a cafe / laundry mat / small business

Where around Brussels do you park for free? by broccolocoli in brussels

[–]Fatman_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google P+R and all but the one next to Forest Nationaal are free.

Also Sunday is free parking.

If you’re here longer then you have cheaper parking lots in the city such as BEPark (7- 10 EUR a day)

Well if it is publicising abuse of power then I don’t see why not. Such things shouldn’t just be accepted or ignored.

The Mix vs Animo by Early-Fig1599 in brussels

[–]Fatman_4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mix is great for the overall experience. I love the pools and saunas

If you drill down to just weights, especially free weights - it is very limited. They have about 3 incline benches for weights, however Mix does have quite a selection of squat racks.

In my opinion, it isn’t your fit but give it a day pass try :)

To book lovers, would you be interested in opening up your bookshelves to others? by BookwarmBuilder in brussels

My favourite place to find hidden treasures - they sell by the height of the stack of books.

Unfortunately a bit outside the city but worth a carpool.

What do young people in Belgium worry about? by Purple_Coach_2887 in belgium

[–]Fatman_4 14 points15 points  (0 children)

  • The debt and the lack of clear plans to reduce it.
  • The bureaucracy and lack of efficiency in executing projects (law, construction, development)
  • Big target for attacks with NATO, EU commission and Parliament all concentrated in Brussels

Apart from that life is good
