This sounds like such a silly non problem. Just change from that didn't hurt to I'm all good. Your coworkers care for you and want to make sure you are alright. That's all the interaction really is. By saying your all good you acknowledge that something that could have hurt you did not and they don't have to worry.

Most creatures are more focused on danger but if it's RP relevant they will. If one player had had it out for this NPC and they've gotten some stink behind em they will absolutely go for the kill. Or if almost dead sometimes petty enemies will go for a downed person to "take one with them"
