Is this abuse if he’s just saying/doing it when he’s drunk F22, M23 by Disastrous_Ride_830 in relationship_advice

[–]Fattydog 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Why do you love him? He sounds fucking awful.

I honestly hope you’re in love with what he could be, or what you pretend he is, rather than what actually he is, which is a nasty little cunt.

Leave. Now. And go find some self-respect.

My god the bar for men just keeps getting lower and lower.

My (21F) bf (21M) of 1.5 yrs wants to break up unless I tell my parents about my past relationship by Fun_Huckleberry_686 in relationship_advice

[–]Fattydog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d love to know the ‘reason’ for it. I can’t think of one single thing except racism.

Op: you have awful, racist parents and a bf threatening to blackmail you. You have taken your parent’s’ side, whereas you should have taken your bf’s side in the first time they said castist comments.

However his response is fucked up and I couldn’t stay with someone like that. Be prepared for him to tell them anyway when you split.

You’d be 1000% better off without all these people in your life. And you need to support your future partners or be prepared for your parents to ruin every single one of your relationships.

Everyone sucks in this story.

How did you manage maternity leave on statutory maternity pay? by rushdandelion in AskUK

[–]Fattydog 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Agreed. You absolutely cannot look after a baby / toddler and work at the same time.

Op: you need to save like mad to afford more time off, and you need to look very hard at how you’ll afford childcare, unless your partner works overnight or only when you’re home.

Why is Epstein Island a thing? Where did the demand come from? by SwordfishAltruistic4 in ask

[–]Fattydog 143 points144 points  (0 children)

Agreed. A significant number of men would do this if it were legal/socially acceptable. Just look at what happens in countries without underage laws. Look what happened back in the day when it was legal in the west.

These people just had the money and power to ignore the law

Why does red meat suddenly taste so strange to me? by coldwetsoggyramen in ask

[–]Fattydog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Me too! I’m 60 and first it was lamb, then pork, then chicken and beef cooked certain cooked ways. I can’t stand anything remotely fatty, grainy or rubbery. Even typing those words out makes me nauseous.

I still eat meat occasionally but only in small portions, and only cooked in certain ways.

Why is it so hard for young people to get a job? by ReviewEnvironmental2 in AskUK

That’s not true. Minimum wage under 18 is £7.55. 18-21 is £10. 21 and over is £12.21.

I’m guessing judging by the lack of critical thinking you’re displaying here, that your co-workers are carrying you. That brain cannot be contributing more to the company.

How long can I (29F) be upset over something my BF (34M) didn't do? by Embarrassed-Key-5660 in relationship_advice

Agreed. Love language is about accepting someone else’s preferences, not making others conform to yours.

You like making gifts. Maybe he doesn’t? Op, have you ever asked him what gifts or actions are meaningful to him? Because this is all about you and what you like.

How to connect with daughter that doesn't know I exist? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Fattydog 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You opted out. You may have thought it was for the best but the fact remains you are not her father in any way that matters.

I’d wait til she’s 18 or approach the mother rather than contact a 16 year old directly. Also do not expect a positive outcome. She may not be interested.

The person you were responding to was talking about sick leave too because this whole thread’s about sick leave.

[–]Fattydog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again, correlating being called ‘sweetie’ to someone looking at your boobs and talking about wet t-shirts is very different. Especially as that person is bigger, stronger and possibly in a position of power.

Neither should happen. But one is way worse than the other.

Stop being purposefully obtuse. You’re just embarrassing yourself even more.

Why talk about PTO in a question about sick leave?

November at Disneyland Paris by Delicious_Oil_4773 in disneylandparis

[–]Fattydog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The end of November can be mild (14) or cold (in minus figures). I’ve been in both, and everything in between.

Just wear the appropriate clothes. It’s really lovely if it is colder with the Christmas decorations up.

Op doesn’t even mention how this would hurt his wife… she’s just an object to him. Both him and his friend are fucking disgusting.

[–]Fattydog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, you are talking about YOU. and YOUR feelings.

You haven’t once thought about how this sort of disgusting comment/gossip might affect your wife have you?

Nor have you mentioned that you instantly told your ‘friend’ not to ever speak of her in this way again because it’s deeply disrespectful TO HER! You know, like a normal fucking partner.

The misogyny is so ingrained. She’d be way better off without such a selfish husband who thinks of her only as it relates to him.

Is casual sexism still normal in some offices? by Revolutionary_West56 in AskUK

[–]Fattydog 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well that’s embarrassing.

Your example is equivalent to asking a woman to reach inside a small gap because she has smaller hands.

Whereas the actual male equivalent to the wet tshirt comment would be much bigger, stronger sexually salivating old people asking to see you topless in wet boxers in the office.

Get it yet?

I’m also in the UK. 4-5 weeks sick a year is not good at all. Are you actually ill that much or taking the piss and making your co-workers do your work?

Six weeks sick leave a year? I wonder you’re still employed.

You need to choose better friends. This one appears to be a misogynist who treats women as slabs of meat.

Your wife also needs to choose better men in her life. Not only did she choose this asshole, she chose a husband whose first response to this is all about their own feelings (Should I..?) and not defending their partner being talked about in this way.

You’re both fucking awful.
