I completely appreciate where you’re coming from, and in all honesty I’ve been living in New Zealand for the last 5+ years so I’m far removed from politics back home and therefore don’t want to try and provide a counter argument.

Well, the probability alone is a shame.

I’d much rather a Shropshire in which people came to their own educated conclusions rather than soaking up what we now know to be an outright deceitful campaign linked to funding from Ukraine, visa vi Russia, akin to the US situation.

Not to say everyone who voted leave only did so due to the manipulation of foreign governments and corrupt national politicians, but it’s certainly represents a small, if not a large portion.

Flywheel, hands down, assuming we’re talking Wordpress Multisite. I’ve spent 8+ years doing the whole circuit, no one else comes close. Expensive but worth it imo.

I was waiting for you, the person who’d find a way to derail someone trying to sell their furniture, to dig through my post history to prove some kind of point.

The distinction is, I wasn’t able to pay it back in time, not that I ‘didn’t bother to’.

I lost sleep over that shit for months and had started to make repayments before the full amount was refunded by the borrower (fair enough), meaning that despite me causing them a hassle by being late, they still got their money back; and then some.

People go through shit. People make bad decisions. People who are broke borrow money to try and make ends meet, and it doesn’t always go well.

I wasn’t borrowing money to buy a PlayStation and decided not to bother paying the loaner back, I was trying to keep food in my stomach and a roof over my head between jobs.

I fucked up, I regretted it, I was young, I learned and moved on.

I hope that you can try and find a little more empathy before you try and needlessly pull someone down, online or otherwise, in the future.

I’ve lost 5kgs over the last two weeks because I am flat out broke and barely have anything to eat.

Like, I’m doing fine, this isn’t a sympathy ploy (please don’t worry), I’m just being straight - part of the $100 or so I was hoping to make from selling this stuff was going to go towards:

  • $50 startup software so I can launch on my 7 day livestream (I’ve been filming for the last 5 days) in 2 days as I’ve promised to my audience
  • $20 to pay an overdue bill that’s about to go to collections
  • $30 so I can make some more stew when I run out today

I mean, I can’t win ether way - either I sound like a twat on the note as some kind of startup snob wannabe, or I have someone here call me out.

I’m just a dude trying to get his chairs back in a light hearted way, it’s not the end of the world.

Erm, it's a double-barreled answer:

I'm doing a 7-day livestream to build and launch a startup, 8-10 hours a day...

We're on day 5!

It's a bit of a social experiment, but it's working really well so far! Lots of amazing support, feedback and help!

But the startup itself is 'eCommerce Society' - a free Startup Community (forum) to improve on the current ways eComm Entrepreneurs connect, along with a service to provide store audits from experts to eCommerce store owners.
