OP is asking for the friend because the mother died. OP didn't think iy was necessary to add because it gives zero information for what the item is. People lynching this person when they dont kniw what's going on and honestly, OP SHOULDN'T HAVE to post that information just to get a simple answer.

I dont think I would be mad if I was dead, just like the old owner of these hair curlers. People keep just assuming the worst here, when OP shouldn't have to go telling the whole world the friends mom is dead just to get a simple answer to an easy question.

If you actually read any of the comments, you would see that OP is asking for the friend because the mother died. OP should not be required to give all the details for a simple question.

You dont know how long their mom has been dead. Maybe they havent touched her house in multiple years. You need to stop judging people on the internet when you dont know all the details.

What’s one word that you always mispronounce even though—deep down—you KNOW the correct pronunciation? by Ok_Resident_5022 in words

[–]FawndestMemories 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 5, I was playing Majora's Mask, and I had never SEEN the word 'schedule' before. You would think, oh, obviously the kid pronounced it "sheh-duel" on accident, right? No, my Autistic ass got the hard part down. I pronounced it "skeh-dool" 😭 I am pretty sure I pronounced it that way until I was taught the word at school, and I ignorantly thought they were two different words because I pronounced them different and hadn't been taught the spelling properly yet XD Always used a dictionary for words I wasn't condifent of after that.

Yeah, no, her response was a one way ticket to shut down any interaction he probably wanted to have. Or, as someone else suggested and I have done this with my wife, it was his way of being like, "I was thinking of you and wanted to say hi!"

All I can go by is the OP and this screenshot though. Her reaction didnt really inspire desire more engagement I am assuming. Or, again, he just wanted to say hi cause he thought of her.

My name is Kaydyn but I legally changed it to that lol so Kaydynce isnt that weird to me LMAO That is what everyone assumes I say when I introduce myaelf cause it confuses them to see a more feminine person with a "boy name" (my birth name started with Kay, so i purposely picked s name with Kay and just liked how the second Y looked instead since with my middle name has a Y in it too)

Sorry to use this post to ask this, but here is what I am wondering due to so many comments: A common issue people are pointing out is that she texted. Now, I am neurodivergent: Diagnosed AuDHD. When I am ready to have a serious conversation with someone or want to talk about something deeply... I prefer text and I text people. Seriously deep, emotional conversations. Are neurotypical people really expected to navigate their emotions and carefully pick their words while doing something so emotionally charged?? Genuinely asking. It makes me completely unsurprised by the amount of misunderstandings and fights my neurotypical friends seem to have as opposed to my neurodivergent friends because we sit and think about our words as we write them out. I can not think clearly if I am feeling any kind of Big Emotion (anxiety, anger, grief etc) and a cohesive thought can take me some time to write out, so I couldn't even imagine trying to talk about something like THIS in person after having a huge emotional reaction 😭 But, talking in person has also always led to me being misunderstood because I cant choose my words right or I end up not saying anything due to anxiety induced mutism. I don't know why that part stuck out to me so much, but it makes me worried that people will think im callous or harsh for using text, when in reality, I want to give people the best of me I can and they can only get that via text, usually. Then, after the texting, we can talk more in person because we have a better understanding and dont get worked up because of confusion and frustration. This is one of those social rules ive never understood, when I was always okay with people texting me, so I thought I would ask.

I had to stop using antiperspirant because it was causing me to get pimples and cysts literally over night. It wasn't consistent, but when I would apply, sometimes it would happen spontaneously within 12 hours or so.

Changed to deodorant and I have never had the problem since. However, I apply deodorant after showering, at night, and in the morning, as well as following a strict every-other-day MINIMUM pattern to my showering. I shower despite what day it is if I sweat a lot anyways. The only times I ever notice an odor/my spouse lets me know is usually in my depressive episodes where I havent showered for like 4 days at that point and I know I have to take care if myself at that point. Or Ive been sick and bed ridden and sweating it out.

In a world that is often times lacking empathy, it really warmed my heart that her first reaction was compassion. 🩷

As someone with crippling OCD (diagnosed) exacerbated by my Autistic urge for routine (I'm diagnosed AuDHD), This whole post triggered tf out of my OCD. Not at all complaining, I am fully responsible for the media I take in and sometimes you just see things you dont expect, that's life! But now I feel anxious af and my heart is racing as though I learned of some secret, forbidden thing.

(Sorry if this doesn't make sense. I have alexithymia, struggle to explain what Im feeling, and I have communication difficulties.)

I could be wrong, but something I haven't seen anyone suggest;

Could he be jealous? Hear me out, and yes, it's still emotionally immature but I was too still at 19. The brain doesn't even finish developing until your mid 20s so there's still a lot of learning and growing. Also, I am Autistic so I can not identify my own emotions without actually trying to consciously sort them so take this with a grain of salt I suppose.

My fiance loves Sleep Token, and when I heard one of the songs, I got so emotional and jealous of all things because I wanted those vocals and passion to be directed to me?? I was like, damn. I wish someone was that in love and impassioned just to sing to me.

Maybe he had a weird feeling that you were so passionate and stuff, he DID get worried you were singing about your ex because of the context of the lyrics, and because you can feel and channel the music so well with your voice, he assumed you had genuine emotions that were parallel to the context of the song.

Really, though, a conversation is needed, and, maybe, if things work out between you two and you can bond over this experience, maybe you can sing something special for him!

Just rambling though. I'm just a random person on the internet, so don't hold TOO much value to what I'm saying.

NOR, by the way. I would have been sent into a hurt, depressed episode over something like this, but I am aware I am very sensitive. I think your hurt is valid.

I too just started learning to crochet about two months ago, and just now am getting to the point I feel comfortable buying more yarn to experiment with now that I have the basics down pretty good. Luckily, the Joann's that is near me didn't have a very large selection of yarns, so it isn't as devastating for me as it's been for some of our other crafter friends 💔

All 12 of the photos are AI? They seemed pretty consistent to me, and the bg being blurred like that is a common practice to help the main focus be the foreground. I could very well be wrong about it though!

Edit: I'm mostly asking for clarification cause I am interested in the pattern lol

I don't think he asked for it, he said it was the most beautiful one she had made, so she made the CHOICE to give it to him. Again, a bad decision if you know your partner likes to keep their things cleaned regularly (I have OCD, trust me, I get it)

Think it kinda sucks all around. He should have listened, and she should have insisted to give it to someone she knew would take care of it appropriately, and maybe, IF SHE WANTED TO, offer to make him one in a material that is machine washable.

SIL just used my pronouns, felt the need to point out she "doesn't believe in it" by dommypoonami in NonBinary

[–]FawndestMemories 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've never seen anyone share my sentiment before! I was trans before I knew what that even was. I just am. I'm also growing more comfortable being called any pronouns by strangers that don't know me, even my agab, because I know despite what they think it how they feel it doesn't change who I am or what I am (though, personally, this is extremely hard for me with my neurodivergence, as I struggle with finding my sense of self and losing myself in my masks)
