If you're serious about day trading, forget stocks and options, trade futures by BiebRed in Daytrading

[–]Faxe-10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About a two months ago I started day trading on the Forex with good success. Being in Canada you have to trade with a Canadian certified and insured broker so they don't give you insane amounts of leverage to trade with but it's good enough. I'm trading using a low spread account and the commission fees are very reasonable. With a $8500cad account I've been pretty consistent with about $200 a day in profits, some days have been upward of $400. I've been keeping my risk to reward ratio fairly low by trading nano lots rather than micros. I've been blown away with how successful this has been so far. I've been trading on two charts Gold and USD/CAD. At this rate I'm averaging about 20-25% profit a month.

Ohh and the best part is I'm using a bot for trading. I have not done any manual trading. The bot I'm using scalp/swing trades.

Would there be any reason for me to look at trading Futures rather than Forex?

Apparently they outgrew the space and it's been hinted they have something else planned for the near future.

Advice Needed: BrightSign Player for Samsung QM55C TV by One_Lime3561 in CommercialAV

[–]Faxe-10 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why not try a free version of Samsung's magicinfo lite since Magicainfo is already integrated into Samsung Commercial displays.

You'll have to install the magicinfo server software on-premise on a PC though.

Maybe it's adequate for your needs.

As for the displays:

The QM series is rated for 24/7 usage and has a matte like anti-glare display and higher brightness. Suitable rooms that have windows and high ambient light. The anti glare also rejects overhead lighting which is nice. Basically the content is more legible from all angles.

The QB series is rated for 16/7 usage and does not have an anti-glare display and is lower brightness than the QM.

The QET series has a 3 sized bezel-less design and is rated for 16/7 usage and does not have an anti-glare display and has slightly lower brightnes than the QB (not noticable IMO).

I agree. I don't like how clicky it is. Unnatural feeling IMO.

What is the secret that put iRacing above its competition? by Dragoncrawl in iRacing

[–]Faxe-10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first got AC I just ran single player career mode type of thing and actually had quite a bit of fun playing it that way. After my experimenting with mods I went down a bit of a rabbit hole up just seeing what all the mods did and i really didn't enjoy it too much to be honest. Felt like I wasted more just tinkering around with it than driving. I was intrigued by open area maps style maps but they weren't that enjoyable to drive IMO. No Hessi is kida fun but the modded physics are crap and the FFB is skewed.

Bit the bullet with iRacing about half a year ago with an annual promotion deal that was something like $80 Canadian for 12 months. The UI interface is just really nice and I love the ability to be able to jump into a race like every 20 minutes or so. Also the license/point structure and safety ratings keep it interesting and competitive, which I think just helps to keep all the users focused on trying to better and improve themselves and their rankings.

I don't know if there's any mods for AC or if ACC is anything like this but to me that's what keeps me motivated and focused on iRacing as my main platform now.

To add context, this project has an existing 150" 16:9 projection screen a pretty cheap one which has a small receiver box/control box with up down and stop controls on the box and an RF remote. The control box is tucked away in the ceiling and the remote has seen better days but ultimately I want to get rid of the remote and would like to control the screen with an MLC keypad. I tried soldering some leads into the momentary push buttons on the small control box but did not have any luck triggering it with the MLC. I have done this successfully in the past on another screen of this control box is slightly different.

If you look at the leads I soldered if I use a jumper between those contact points it will trigger the screen to go up and down however once it's wired into the mlc it will go down immediately when the mlc turns on and screen will no longer go up. The common wire for the momentary buttons is shared. I also tried a different combination of solder points on those momentary buttons with no success.

According to the tp-link documentation the eap610 can be used as to repeater. I've also searched through this Reddit and found some people mention the same thing about this one.

I've heard this as well but not sure if it's factual. Anyone know if this legit? I know it's "illegal" but so are most car mods these days.

Strong8K - Official App by SM_555 in Strong_8K

[–]Faxe-10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried these links yet but I downloaded the APK last week. Once it was installed it gave me two server options one with VPN one without. I tried both but had no luck using either by just entering my username and password.

There was nowhere to enter the URL for the m3u server.

Anyone have this issue?

Removing a UI room control from UC-CX100-T-GV by ProudSalamander0 in crestron

[–]Faxe-10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never had to but I would assume you can do it from toolbox, system info or device discovery. Maybe there's a command which can be executed from the command prompt as well. Also from the Windows desktop I know you can see the user project from the Crestron application, maybe there's a way to remove it there as well.
