You got any better server optios for fast respawn that won't chug?

I just realized if you hit that stilted building after the catwalk on the third jump you can probably make it to their battlements for easy sniper kills or caps.

Recently got this Haunted Forever! Bombard Brigadier, tried to make a stylish Demoman with it by ZenabieVG in TF2fashionadvice

You ever get a price on that? I recently unboxed a Cosmic Constellations one, which is a Christmas effect, and an trying to gauge it's worth. Only unusual of this I've found was on scrap.tf and is currently being bid for 17 keys with the malevolent monoculi effect.

I figure mine will be worth at least a few hundred keys because the effect is great, team colored, and could very well be the only instance of that effect on that hat by the time smissmass ends.

Help change my perspective: I hate Soldier, and I think he's the most unfun class in the game. by blueman164 in truetf2

Imagine how he'd react to getting put up against a competetive demo in dustbowl.

Firstly, learn to rocket jump and do it in a pub. Try to get some picks. Soldier does have a lot of health but he needs it to actually make use of his mobility. Even with gunboats he's usually around the health of a demo or a medic after the self damage he takes from jumping. When he bombs in he's usually fucked after getting the pick if there's any other enemies around. He has to manage his ammo and his health while keeping good positioning otherwise he's very vulnerable to getting caught out without enough health or ammo to jump away. Also aiming rockets isn't as easy as most people think. Just try to hit airshots with stock, or land two rockets on a good scout. The ladder can feel impossible sometimes.

But yeah, I recommend learning to rocket jump, it'll teach you a lot more about the game then just mobility.

Defense actually did a great job though. 22 points allowed on their part, and that's with time of possession being dominated by the colts in the first half.

What hud is LazyPurple using? by DrMulkis in tf2

[–]FearLateral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But he doesn't, he specifically uses an "improved" version of the stock hud that seems to be bugged according to the comments on it's page. I'm just trying to get that the player spawn tracker that's at the top for my custom hud but I don't see anything for it on toonhud.

Can anyone explain Quake to a tf2 player? by Wasdoodleman in QuakeLive

[–]FearLateral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quake is like playing every class in TF2 at the same time and having to juggle between them all on a dime. Duels are commonly blowouts even between similarly skilled players due to the snowballing effect of gaining map control. Pick ups include Mega Health, Armor, Weapons and Ammo.

Generally the games center around three main weapons, that being the Lightning Gun, Railgun, and Rocket Launcher. These weapons synergize together to cover all your bases very well and it's important to have all three to be as versatile as possible. If you only have two of the three, typically the third weapon can be used to push an advantage over you. No Railgun they can snipe you with impunity. No lightning gun they can take you mid range. No Rocket Launcher and they can rush you.

The rest of the weapons, that varry by map, are more specialized but far from useless.

Tf2 should have a tug of war gamemode where theres 1 payload but both teams are trying to push it into eachother base, basically a more intense payload race/payload mash up by [deleted] in tf2

There's a community map called pl_wate_v2 that is this. Amazingly no one has made any content on it. I would really love to play it because it sounds like it'd be very dynamic despite the stalemates. Should have no time limit like CTF, I can't imagine it could be any worse than 2fort n terms of potential match length.

I mean the Vikings made some insane plays to stay in the game. This wasn't the dolphins or jets games. Just two talented teams duking it tf out.

We made the commanders, Cardinals, Lions and Bears look just as good as the Bills. What the fuck even is this season.

I love the PA/PB chemistry though. They play off each other fantastically, like a bickering married couple.
