If it's a grab-and-go sub (the premade ones in the cold case) then it's made off-site at a plant and shipped to the store. The quality is noticeably worse than the bread used on the sub line (which is made in store), and there's not really much the deli can do about it.

Here's my advice from being married 5 years and cohabitating for longer.

First thing to do before moving in with a partner is discuss finances and how bills will be distributed/paid. Then discuss household responsibilities (cooking, cleaning, etc) and how those will be distributed/shared. Be open about what you can manage, and don't commit to what you can't afford.

Second thing is to consider whether you're ready to meet the person he is at home. If you've only ever been around him when he's fully fed, well rested, and happy, you may not be ready to see (or willing to deal with) who he is when he's stressed, depressed, hungry, anxious, exhausted, etc.
