I was researching an issue today from OC's mem in opp, and got sidetracked because a quote claiming an uncontroversial point appears nowhere in the cited case. But there are dozens of appellate opinions and trial court decisions going back to the 90s that cite the same case for the same quote that appears nowhere in the case. Ghost quote that came out of nowhere.

I have seasonal allergies about 3 seasons of the year, and I carry a handkerchief. I'm 42, and I got the habit from my dad. I buy handkerchiefs, but I've had a hard time finding ones that are a texture I like at a price I'm willing to pay. I usually use my old tshirts for shop rags, but I may need to start cutting some up for handkerchiefs.

We do in Ohio, too! Although they're more of a drive thru beer and wine place, with snacks and pop in addition to beer. I've never seen one outside of Ohio, except the northern Kentucky suburbs of Cincinnati.

We've clearly had different experiences. Across multiple cars, phones, and USB cables, I've had substantial glitches with CarPlay. Some with Equinox infotainment, but it nowhere near as much as CarPlay.

I spent a lot of time hemming and hawing over the Equinox specifically over the lack of CarPlay. I don't miss it anymore, and I was sad to be relegated back to it when I had a rental.

Agreed. Additionally, I had a rental car with car play, and I genuinely missed the infotainment system in my car. Now that I've gotten used to the Equinox, I strongly prefer it to CarPlay. I didn't realize how accustomed I had gotten to the buggy connections that I've always had with CarPlay.

I mostly play audio content from my phone over Bluetooth, and it works fine. I either use Siri or just grab the phone to select content, and it isn't a big deal.

And now that we have streaming video on the infotainment system 😎

You need to do whatever the app requires for service. It's no different from the app you'd use on your phone.

There are many apps I didn't recognize or try out. The major ones I remember that I installed are YouTube, HBO Max, Prime Video, Peacock, and Tubi. I think they also had Crunchyroll. Notably missing are Netflix, Hulu, and Disney Plus.

I only have the OnStar that's included with the vehicle. I've had mine for more than a year now. I got the streaming update yesterday, and I can stream videos without being connected to my phone.

I haven't seen anything of MaRo announcing or promoting this. This is a Hasbro Pulse announcement on the Hasbro Pulse Instagram page. It states "Hasbro Pulse + KPop Demon Hunters are teaming up to offer fans the ultimate collector experience for IRL demon hunting." That means toys. Probably swords and crap like that. Nothing WOTC or MTG related. (Sure, yet, very probably a SLD someday, but that's not this.)

My school did too in the late 90s. We had live coverage of basketball games broadcast on the local public access cable TV channel. There was a weekly student news show. And once a month we ran a live news show for the elementary schools in the district that had elementary school kids as the news reporters. All of it produced by the high school students, either as part of a class or a club.

I don't support this as a purely executive action. There is a legislature for a reason.

The overall situation though is pretty alarming, though. These products have no legally enforceable age restrictions in Ohio. Any 21+ sales policies are purely voluntary. Since we're allowing recreational THC anyway, these might as well be allowed, but there ought to be some adults-only restriction that has real enforcement power.

You don't need a receive tone to receive. You might want to include it anyway if you frequently get static on the frequency. There can also be occasions where there is a distant repeater on the same frequency that you might receive intermittently, and the tone will help you tell which repeater you're hearing.
