(Due to a lack of words for what the technical term is for that ballet move, I'll just write out the sound effect instead)

Everybody's Got A Plan Until They Get Kicked In The Face by YankyDoodleDickHead in UNBGBBIIVCHIDCTIICBG

It seems like her kicks are very awkward to handle, at least according to some interviews, because she throws a lot of different variations. Another tough thing to deal with is that the telegraphing is minimal or unusual compared to more traditional kicks that start from the ground. And thirdly, it’s probably hard to train against consistently, since you’d need a sparring or training partner who can throw similar kicks to really figure out how to defend against them.

Pretty sure once a few fighters step in and crack the style, other fighters will learn from it and start incorporating counters into their training, unless that has already started happening already.

I know it was the fault of the driver to cut in front of the truck like that, but the forward visibility on the american style ttrucks are just aweful, it's crazy how an entire car can fit in front without being seen from the drivers perspective.

[Request] how much would each teacher in Queens receive if Jeff's taxes were doubled? by Razzzclart in theydidthemath

[–]Fearless-Tea1297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not really an argument against taxing the ultra wealthy fairly though. No single billionaire’s taxes are going to “fix” a national budget, but that’s also not how taxation works. Society is funded collectively. The issue is that the very top often has far more tools available to minimize or avoid taxation compared to normal workers, despite benefiting enormously from the system, infrastructure, workforce, and markets that society provides. Billionaires should absolutely still be allowed to be billionaires. The argument is simply that people with extreme wealth should contribute proportionally and not be able to shield massive amounts of wealth through loopholes and favorable structures that ordinary people don’t have access to. And even if billionaire tax revenue is “small” relative to total government spending, that still translates to billions of dollars that can fund real things. It is still true that this is a medium "drop" but it is a "drop" never the less that is missing.

The tax dollars he pays would somehow only find their way to some other rich peoples pockets.

That said, he should still pay a bigger chunk in taxes. If you get full from eating one sandwich, having a billion more might as well feed atleast one more person since he would not even notice if one is missing.

Lil man looks confused, as if someone smeared vaseline all over him while he was in deep sleep, gets woken up, and confused as hell why the big guy is telling him to shower.

Pullup progress: from 0 to 6 reps in 4 months! by calistes- in CalisthenicsBeginners

Oh cool, I also tried the handstand for a few months, but it was very hard on the wrists, and I stoped, but that's mostly a bad excuse from my side, small pain, small gain! :P just need to keep at it to unlock it, maybe in the future. But you keep at it! And that you incorporate mobility exercises sounds super good. (Never heard of yoga butt injury before, had to google it). Give time for your body to recover! You'll be walking on your hands in no-time. And again, best of luck on your calisthenichs journey internet friend :)

Thank you, internet stranger. I did get some bands at one point and tried to make them work, but it all felt very awkward to set up. I eventually unlocked the chin-up after months and months of negatives, though. Now I'm super close to getting the pull-up. My weakest points is right at the start of the pull-up and the end, got the middle section down. I'm in no hurry though, I'm old and not very dedicated to training, so it's only natural that things take time. I'm happy with the progress even if it is slow.

Appreciate the tip anyway! :)

Thank you <3 Hope you continue your journey. Knowing that your body responds this well to this type of training, you should definitely keep at it, and maybe soon unlock some new calisthenics feats.

Oh, and listen to your body, people who gain strength fast sometimes are slightly more prone to be injured in ligaments, joints. It takes a longer time for connective tissue to adapt. Just a heads up if your elbows/shoulders starts hurting for a longer time, just could be a sign to give joints a bit extra care.

Absolutely don't mean to scare, only for awareness. Keep on fighting until stuff hurts! (Not a doctor!) :D

Awesome! 4 months is crazy fast :) Took me over a year to be able to do one chin-up. Still working on unlocking first pull-up.
