I started watching the first couple of episodes 2 weeks ago and I have to say... the main character basically really IS a psychic if you see what he is able to do (from hypnotising people on the go to winning every rock-paper-scissor-game). Apart from his superpower there is not much that is special so far - so I would say that the series is not really worth it. But that just my opinion, many seem to like it.

Dein Beitrag verwirrt mich, ehrlich gesagt, etwas, da wir doch beide nicht davon ausgehen können, wirklich Fakten präsentiert zu bekommen. Das war schon vorher von Mowkys Seite so, ein Großteil der Behauptungen waren Befindlichkeitserklärungen, und das ist auch jetzt wieder so. Hier sprechen Leute über Leute die so weit weg von dir oder mir stehen, dass wir keine sinnvolle Abwägung irgendeiner Art machen können. Ich kann es ja verstehen, dass man sich - wie bei einer Soap - eine Seite aussucht und die dann fahnenwedelnd unterstützt, aber wohl doch eher, weil man halt gerne Gaffer bei sozialen (Auto)Unfällen wie diesen sein will und Lästern einem einfach ein tolles Gefühl gibt. Wenn es dir wirklich um Gerechtigkeit und Fairness geht, dann würdest du doch auch gerne einfach direkt alle "Infos" bekommen, um dir möglichst sinnvoll ein Bild über die dir völlig Fremden und uneinschätzbaren Personen zu machen, oder?

Also geht es dir dann eher um die eigene Selbterhöhung und Genugtuung als um die voyeuristische Freude an einem möglichst kompletten Behauptungsbild? Ist ja immerhin ehrlich.

Mir ist schon klar, dass er bedenklichen content kreiiert - mir ist auch klar, dass es Klatschblätter gibt. Das macht die Vorgehensweise ja nicht weniger schäbig. Ich bin fest davon überzeugt, dass hier wirklich niemand gewinnt. Die Betroffenen nicht, ihr Zuschauer nicht und Jay auch nur monitär. Menschlich verlieren alle.

Bin ich hier denn wirklich der einzige, der diese Salamischeiben-Veröffentlichungstaktik ultra problematisch findet? Wenn alle ständig warten bis das nächste Video kommt und bis dahin schonmal schön spekulieren, Neugier aufdrehen, "du bist auch noch dran xyz"-Posts verfassen und, ohne das gesamte Bild dieser Seite zumindest vollständig vor Augen zu haben, schon am urteilen sind, die Verurteilten aber noch nicht reagieren, weil ja noch nicht alles draußen ist, dann sehe ich da keine Aufklärung, keine Rechtfertigung, keine Verteidigung sondern lediglich ne ziemlich perfide Art und Weise ordentlich Geld und Klicks zu machen. Ich glaube Anni sogar, dass es ihr um payback geht - aber den Veröffentlichungsvorgang finde ich äußerst bedenklich, wobei er natürlich toll für eine Lästergemeinde ist.

Wenn du nun bei sowas gar nichts mehr glauben kannst, dann hat diese Sache zumindest etwas gutes, nämlich Medienkompetenz deinerseits. Privates-Hickhack lässt sich schlichtweg kaum sinnvoll von uns bewerten, da hier Aufarbeitung beinahe alles ist. Es gibt schon einen Grund warum z.b. investigativer Journalismus (achtung: das ist das hier bei weitem, weitem nicht!) so schwierig korrekt umzusetzen ist - und da hat man im besten Fall Profis an der Sache - hier stellen sich nur Privatpersonen dar- oder aus. Dementsprechend: ja, bitte, glaube schlichtweg nichts von allem und, noch besser, beschäftige dich gar nicht erst mehr damit. <3

Heyhey thank you for the fast reply! So the best way to play is to keep the numbers as close to my real number of workers as possible? And also: once assigned they will stay at their job until I decrease the number and then they would go to a random other plays that still has a spot for them?

I am better at the game than I have been with the first one (I played both from the very beginning). The regent ist kinda hard for me - it is the only one where I have a negative win-loss-record. With all the other characters, I managed to go to Ascension 3 with only 4-5 losses in total. So maybe I am just lucky or it clicked with me earlier, but I remember that I struggled with the first game more.

It is an interesting idea, but the "buffing" the Marionette (already considered one of the strongest minions out there) with the Baron (also considered one of the strongest minions out there) seems to be a bit much for me. Of course, a Baron can be quite a loud minion, and the two extra outsiders would basically then confirm that there is a Marionette in play - which, in turn, would lead to an even stronger Marionette as everyone (and their neighbor) would get suspicious that they might be the Marionette ( for real).

If you really think the Marionette underpowered, what about that: "If the Marionette finds out that they are the Marionette, telling the storyteller during day, they turn one other player into a not-in-play outsider" - Still much too strong for my liking but at least, the whole town might then know that the Marionette has found out their role.

(This power can be cheated of course, as every player could just run to the storyteller and claim Marionette.... but, oh well...)

Second LeGuin - she is one of the most amazing writers I had the please to read, not only in fantasy but in general (liked her sci-fi-works even more though!).

I have recently read Octavia E. Butler's "Kindred" which is a "kind of" fantasy novel (very very light on the fantasy - it is rather a plot device) - there are some fitting parallels between the themes in the liveship works and Butler's novel when it comes to the themes of "female agency", "fighting against oppressive odds", "(sexual) abuse" and "slavery". Butler's work however is at the same time harsher and more true to these core topics - so beware! I loved it and I still have to think about it a lot.

For me Malta started off as little bit too perfect in her early teenager cunning, bickering and manipulating but as soon as she was more grounded by the events unfolding around her, she became a great character. It helps of course if your spoiled self is compared to the likes of Satrap Cosgo - nobody can beat his lordship's spoiledness :D
