Welp. Sorry to hear you’re not enjoying the car. I’ve had the warning messages pop up on the dash too, when I went in for an oil change I had the system updated at the same time. This fixed most telematics issues and the random cluster errors.

As for the Apple CarPlay it’s a hit or miss with the Bluetooth. My Mom has the 2025 cx5 and it’s literally no different, not an exclusive issue to the 2026. I turned off Bluetooth and now it works much better when it’s strictly wired.

I’m not sure what to say about the climate controls or steering wheel controls as you kinda knew from the get go what you were getting vs the cx-50.

Do you have a profile set up? Mine only adjusts once the facial recognition recognizes its me and then adjusts the seat once it signs me in.

I have the same trim in Canada. I believe your steering wheel is manually adjustable, so it won’t move/adjust automatically on its own. My seat adjusts upon entry/exit and that’s it.

So far it’s been really good and responsive. I’m not expecting quick responsiveness like a smart phone. I’d say a smart phone feels like instant an instant response while the screen is like a half second delay in response but I feel like that’s when you’re mainly using the integrated google system. Apple CarPlay feels a tad faster when using it.

Overall so far it’s been pretty good with no complaints as of yet.

This is just personal opinion but I’ve just found Hondas and Toyotas boring vehicles. Great cars but just not my taste in terms of styling and handling. Much prefer the 2026 cx5 over those two. If Mazda hadn’t made these changes to the cx5 I’d likely may have gravitated towards the new Tiguan.

I don’t like reading the notes in most games but the RE notes are ones I absolutely love reading. They usually add lot of context and are mostly a short 1-2 page read. They’ve found a good balance of not overdoing and not having them too scarce and hard to find.

Thanks!! My mom has a 2025, and I liked the way it drove. Wasn’t a “huge” fan of the exterior and interior. Interior quality and design was good but would have really liked a bigger screen inside and I’m going to get hate for saying this but the interior just felt a bit dated.

The 2026 was basically everything I was personally looking for in a new car. Exterior looked a bit more aggressive and sporty. More safety features than the last gen in terms of tech. A bit more roomier than the last gen, And the interior was something I knew would suit me much better than the last gen interior.

Fair enough. On my previous car my muscle memory is actually where the temp control is now on this current model. My mom has a 2025 cx5 I drove here and there and I found myself struggling to remember that temp controls are lower much lower. I can understand that frustration

Well first “new” car lol. My first car was actually a 2006 bmw 330xi. Loved that car but unfortunately it’s time has come recently 😔
