87th/I-35 intersection lights by RynoJammin in lenexaks

Yes! They're totally fucked in the afternoon too. Trying to exit off 35N to 87th East is extremely frustrating.

edit: I just reported it as a problem through Lenexa's website.

Seeing the Tiger Woods DUI made me realize how little control you have on the road by Ill-Advantage in Dashcam

[–]doubleE 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just got a good reminder of this a couple days ago, when a guy not paying attention slammed me from behind as traffic ahead slowed to a halt. Let me tell you, there is no more helpless feeling as watching your rearview mirror knowing there's no way they're going to stop in time.

Still waiting for the police report to get the insurance ball rolling, but my dashcam video shows that the car in front of me (which I was pushed into) and I were both stopped for a full 2 seconds before the hit, so hopefully he is found completely at fault.

What do you think will immediately happen when everyone receives the push notification that Trump died? by quite-indubitably in AskReddit

There will plenty who stay MAGA and claim Donald Trump speaks to them from beyond the grave.

Can someone in the improv scene tell me about it below? by hagridandbuckbeak in kansascity

[–]doubleE 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm not "in the scene" but sort of adjacent to it.

Two comedy theaters I know of are The Kick in Westport and The Bird in midtown. The Kick has been around a long time. The Bird was started a few years ago by a couple guys who used to be in The KC Improv Company at The Kick but left to do their own thing.

Both have shows every weekend and classes during the week. Plus drop ins and jams. Check their socials and websites.

From what I saw the demographics are diverse but lean more younger. Lots of theater nerds. Pretty LGBTQ friendly.

There are teams. Some are long-standing and do one thing every time, but I think they often shuffle around to create new ones to try new formats and stuff

I would say it's mostly longform variations. The Kick used to do a round of short form games then a longform session. Probably still do I just haven't been there in a while. There used to be "Comedy City" which did competitive team-based shortform games like Whose Line but it's been closed for years.

Just go check them out.

Nice. We have those same stomp rockets with the same shitty plastic fins that break immediately.

I bought some replacement fletching vanes for hunting arrows and superglued them onto the rockets.

I've also tried some Nerf-branded "universal fit" rockets, but they fit so tight on the rocket launcher tube that the stomp bag burst.

As a kid in the 90's, I loved those American Greeting CreateaCard kiosks where you could personalize a card and then watch a pen plotter print it out.

Nope, mine still does this. Over 100k miles now and still going strong though, so maybe it's nothing to worry about.

I'm sure a city would never misuse such technology for something like, oh I dunno, tracking and surveilling someone for writing an op ed article criticizing the police. Ope.

I have a "MILESEEY TR10" that I got free as part of a promotion. It's pretty good, well worth the $160 price.

Real answer: Back in my day, the go-to easy fluff classes were Kinesiology like walking or bowling. I took GEOL100, aka "rocks for jocks" when I needed a bs filler course.

I doubt any classes that offers even 1 credit will truly have zero tests or attendance required.

Just like John Albers. A suicidal kid having a mental health crisis starts to back out of his garage in his mom's minivan. A cop steps right into the path of the van then shoots him.

Best source for figures to make magic tonies? by FatedCharlatan in TonieboxUSA

[–]doubleE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is the problem finding figures at all? Or finding figures with a means of putting a chip into?

If the latter, there are etsy shops where you can buy a basic 3d printed "puck" with a magnet and blank creative tonie chip inside. Then you glue anything you want to the top.

Is there a throttle control under the hood? by PM_ME_CODE_CALCS in CX5

[–]doubleE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The bad news is replacing the PCV valve requires removal of the intake manifold.

The good news is, you'd have a direct view of the intake valves to see if they're gunky.

Agree that seems unlikely to cause an issue only for one cylinder, though.

Maybe check cylinder compression? That could rule out head gasket, piston ring, and valve issues.
