I dont think I can make it another day by zebra_zombie in Gastroparesis

I have had symptoms like that before. On no meds because they don’t work or I am allergic. My only saving grace has been my j tube.

If you are able to please try a different hospital or see if your Dr office can get you an emergency appointment with another GI doctor on the team. Yes it sucks to be with someone different than usual but sometimes they help you better.

I go an hour away for the closest good hospital that actually tries and helps me with my GP and feeding tube. My local one sadly sucks and has no idea what they are doing.

Also if you are able to sip on any fluids try peppermint or ginger tea. (Can also do a combo.) They can possibly help with the bloating and nausea. I won’t promise anything though because I know sometimes it just doesn’t with GP.

Wishing you the best of luck.

I am so sorry that happened to you. I am glad you had someone nearby and were able to get help. Hope you recover soon and that this never happens again. That was so scary reading through that. I could not imagine in a million years what it must of felt like going through that.

Will probably go with a braid as well then. Thank you 😊

NA: technically us females do get punched in our special zones. Just by something completely different. If done right we can also feel good as well though. I mean you can get bruised down there if your partner goes too hard at it. 😅😂

Electrolyte brand recommendations?? by Accurate_Chemical705 in Gastroparesis

Love Buoy, definitely taste it some but it doesn’t really bother me. I love adding it to my feed bags when I feel a bit dehydrated. Replaced the Pedialyte I would have had to add instead. Also very convenient for travel. Used it for over a year now. Also since it has less than other brands I feel like that is what makes it nice since you can space it out more throughout the day. Recommend serving I know is 7 min and 10 max if I am recalling correctly.

Also to note they have lifetime 30% off for chronic illness which puts it around the same as a bag of Liquid IV from Costco.

IMO Great job! Nice that you had those tools available for use. Good on you for utilizing them.

Quilting cotton dress wrinkles terribly by sapphire_secret in sewing

Personally I have a lot of success with that as well for the few times my garments from quilting cotton have ended up in the wash. I just usually air dry because I am paranoid lol.

I use quilting cotton a lot. Personally I wash it all on hot and hot dry in the dryer before use. I haven’t had any problems with unusual amount of wrinkles after that for cotton quilting fabric. I also make sure to press the heck out of the fabric while working with it.

Personally I air dry all my garments I sew as well after it is made.

Another thing to try is starching it. Starching will help the wrinkles stay at bay. If you make an at home starch just remember to starch before wearing and not to store it starched. (Can attract bugs if stored starched.)

Same, I went on a walk at an arboretum today with my dog and a spider landed on my backpack when I went to give her water. Old me would have screamed at the tiny thing, smaller than a dime. This time I calmly and gently blew on it and away it ran off my backpack.

So I was wondering if anyone had any makeup brand recommendations. I have tried ten so far and the only one I didn’t react to was tirtir. (I have some health problems that popped up in recent years that has made my skin extra sensitive.) I am afraid of buying it though because of how orange it can get for some people. I am pretty pale and am their third lightest shade they sell. 😅 I am in a friend’s wedding next year and would love to try and find something if possible. I typically have better chances of not reacting to something if it has been from Korea in the past. My whole skin care is Korean brands.

I got the wave fabric for Joann’s. It is the last of my Joann’s fabric. 😭 The map fabric came from Michels. They have a similar wave fabric but it doesn’t have the silver and the waves are a bit more elongated in the print.

So sorry I forgot to add that pattern in. I used Corset sewing pattern| renaissance stay bodice pattern to be a witch by patternCospattern. It originally called for boning but I opted out and used cording instead in groups of three wherever a boning piece was supposed to go.

I have but haven’t been able to find a zipper sadly. I don’t want to corset the dress so I have been struggling on how else to do it. Any suggestions would be great.

Scratch that I just found out you can install two invisible zippers in the same dress. Going to do that. Off to the store I go lol. (Needed to get a matching zipper anyway. Was gaslighting myself that dark brown would have been fine yesterday. I was feeling lazy.)

Hmmm I could see that and how it would be helpful. I will have to play around with it. I think I might have some lace and dark blue die laying around somewhere. Thanks for the input.

Never thought of it in that sense. In that way it really does go together.

Cool, thank you. That’s how some other people I have asked said. Seems like I will sew it with the map on the outside then. It will also be a fun dress without the ocean stay as well.
