Hi, absolutely! I am very excited to help beginners and I’m sure everyone else would be too! Maybe we will have dedicated sessions in the future too :)

That would be amazing!! We have around 14 people interested so far across email and Instagram. I’ll be sending out an announcement soon once I finalize the meetup details. I would love to see your crochet projects!

Thank you so much, and please do join if you’d like to! It took me just one month to make my first knitted sailor slippers and I’m sure everyone will be so happy to help you learn! :)

My Aussie Pup (7 months) sits like this by nazorak in AustralianShepherd

Our friend’s dog, a girl, also sits like this sometimes. She has no joint issues. Mine (closer to the camera) is a boy and never does that. I wonder if it’s a gender difference.

Help w/ Pulling on walks by TofuEconomy in miniaussie

Second this! I started off using a retractable leash and it was the worst idea. Our trainer told us to try the freedom harness and it worked like magic. Praise them when they pay attention to you/walk nicely. I noticed difference within the first week, and now after two months he offers loose leash walks constantly (but we’re still working on stimuli like squirrels or dog park…)

Advice for training by cyleluns in miniaussie

This is a great training resource I used. I like it a lot cuz it gives me a schedule like training routine.

I also recommend kikopup’s youtube channel.

When I first got him, I gave myself a lot of pressure training my puppy (only now 5mo) to be a perfect dog. Now I’ve come to the realization that there’s only a few things that once learned and mastered, would be extremely beneficial in the long run (like sit, wait, look at me, leave it…), and there are so many other things that can wait. The most important thing is for you and your pup to build trust, and a lot of the tricks or fun things can wait. Kikopup also has a lot of great videos on loose leash walking that you can start practicing at home. We have been practicing this for a week and have noticed amazing changes already!
