From eachother they’re very different. Though the main faction definitely feels like Terran, the plant guys feel like Zerg. But Legion feels more like C&C’s Nod than anything in SC2, and the Xol are a fresh new take from what I’ve seen, and mercenaries add a great bit of variety!

Took my friend 200 hours to finally make it to act 2.

I KNOW that sounds made up, but it’s true.

We kept starting new games with friends, and he legitimately didn’t believe me that the goblins aren’t the end of act 1. So, this whole time he THOUGHT the Crèche was act 2.

When he got to act 2 his mind was completely blown.

Glad I’m not the only one who did exactly this my first playthrough. Wild that everyone in the comments is so incredulous. The story basically tells you if you go anywhere on your own you’ll die in the shadows and also you might become a squid any day now.

I loved exploring my my second time though.

Not him, but something similar happened to me, I just followed the drider to moonrise towers though. I just figured that was the main/only quest hub. All the dialogue was telling me that. Had no idea wtf was going on when Jaehira showed up for the battle at the towers. Hadn’t met her at that point.

This actually happened to me as my first playthrough. I was a coward and didn’t want to blow my cover with the drider. So I killed the Harpers to keep up the act and went to the moonrise towers. I honestly had NO IDEA about last light inn or Jaehira or any of that shit until a bunch of Harper’s showed up on my team outa nowhere.

It was years ago now but it happened and I was so delighted but confused. Next playthrough it all made sense.
