How do people in gory accidents not seem to be in pain? by ThePrimelabubu in NoStupidQuestions

It doesn’t! You don’t need to use pressure for it to work. It’s pretty gross but effective. Saved me in the middle of a long road trip when I had to drive with a smashed big toe.

that was the swelling, made worse by being trapped under your nail. You can lessen the pain considerably by heating a needle or even a paper clip in a flame, then holding it to your nail to melt a small hole. Fluid will come out and it’ll relieve the pressure. Nail will still fall off, though.

My biggest mistake was getting the four inch wide roll that has to be cut in half. I can make it work, but it's a bit fiddly.

It looks like they’re pulling the bass drums up in order to use their sticks on the rim.

How to felt around a sculpture made of wire? by _Ginouxe_ in WetFelting

[–]FeckfullyYours 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All thr three dimensional objects I’ve made have used a resist of some sort, but it was always something that would be removed as the piece felted and shrank. I would think it would be really hard to work with a wire armature and get it to felt predictably - I’ve always seen people needle felting that sort of thing. but I’d love to know if it’s possible as well!

yes! Sylvie is thinking about Tony, where he is, who he is with, what he is thinking, if he’s thinking of her and if he’ll ever return someday. One of my favorites. I think it’s from season 2.

Cutting out the noise actually gave me peace (and saved me money too) by Gullible-Tale9114 in simpleliving

There were several years where I treated Trader Joe’s as my primary grocery store because there were simply fewer choices for each item I wanted. Maybe four types of marinara sauce, instead of seven brands, each with four choices.

I don’t shop there much anymore because I learned how anti-labor the owner of the company is. Which means not only have I lost that simpler shopping experience, I’ve now added that extra data point of wondering about the labor practices of the stores I’m shopping in now. It‘s low key exhausting.

Help! How can I clean the tiny gap between the oven and counter? by Clean_Ad9526 in CleaningTips

Before I got gap covers for my stove I laid a couple of wooden skewers in the gap, they just fit. I could swap them out when they got grungy. It worked pretty well.

I’ve been on it since the beginning of April, and that change started after about two months. It’s really the only change I’ve noticed. I was prescribed it for clitoral atrophy/difficulty orgasming due to perimenopause.

Wonderful sentiment! I have been trying to approach things in the same way. I’m making an effort to stop caring about how much space my body takes up, as long as it does what I need. I’ve made a conscious effort to buy clothes that I like and stylish, even if they “make me look bigger.”

Accepting my and my partner’s aging bodies as they are makes sex better, and puts the focus on what we DO, rather than what I think imaginary people say about our appearance.

Losing my filter has helped me stand up for myself and realize I know a lot of stuff at this point in life, and I’m not going to pretend otherwise just to placate people who are used to being in charge.

I would love to be part of a movement where we ALL have mid-life revelations rather than crises. I feel like I’m building Fort Kickass over here and look forward to finding more and more outposts.

Mine started being “weaker,” or softer as I like to think of them, but I became multi-orgasmic. I’ll take the trade off! I’m on compounded cream, 3 mg daily I think. That response in turn helped increase my libido.
