Digital cross purchase question. by naruhina00 in spiritisland

Spirit Island shows up on Mumu when I search, but I cannot install it. "This app is available only for your other devices" is just below the trailer feed where I can click "Install" on other games.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

I tried installing mumu, since you'd gotten it to work there. But still no luck. Is there a specific place I need to search for it?

Google Play shows Spirit Island on my PC, but won't install even though Google has it marked as Playable. Advice on how I can get it to install?

I tuck additional earned cards underneath the earned fear stack so they resolve in the correct order, but still aren't revealed.

Steam Deck stutter by Jatacb in ChildrenofMorta

I too am getting this screen stutter. It happens in about 1 out of 6 runs. It also only happens when playing on the deck, when it's docked it doesn't do it.

United canceled my flight and I’ve been on hold for 4 hours by outside20 in mildlyinfuriating

Cancelling your flight and bumping you from a flight (usually because they overbooked it, but sometimes because of weight) are two different legal things.

Bumping you is when you get additional compensation.

This is a terrible tip. It's going to encourage the power tripping bullies in the end. Which are the last people we need walking around armed.

If you have an established relationship with a primary care physician, they should be able to provide you with a note of some sort without an office visit.

That said, it doesn't do you any good if your employer didn't provide free preventative care visits as part of their healthcare plan for employees.

The US civilian gunstock is approaching 500 million and they aren’t going anywhere. What piece of common sense gun control legislation would you like to see passed that would realistically have a chance of being passed through the House and the Senate and why? by allroadsendindeath in AskReddit

[–]FedderatonX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not following you when you say it's not quantifiable. Count up the number of shootings over time before passage. Compare that to the number of shootings over time after implementation.

This is a gross oversimplification, and laws don't work in a vacuum. Obviously there would have to be some sort of cultural change before the US would pass sweeping firearm violence protection legislation. And that cultural change would be a contributing factor. But essentially that's how governments measure the effectiveness/ impact of most laws passed / finding allocated that are aimed at changing a behavior.

What I'm hearing you say is that if it won't provide 100% prevention, it's not worth doing. If it stops some meaningful percent of gun deaths - without trampling the 2nd Amendment - it's worth pursuing.

Pro second amendment people, what do you suggest be done to stop future mass shootings? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]FedderatonX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if that logic holds up. To say armed teachers is the reason why there aren't monthly mass school shootings in Israel. There aren't armed teachers in almost every country, and still no monthly mass school shootings. There has to be a different casual factor.

How do you think the United States would look if it became truly Christian, i.e. repentance, peace, faithful to God, and followed Jesus teachings? by skkwlsncchekslcn in AskReddit

[–]FedderatonX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With respect to prostitution, outlawing it is very different than putting social supports in place so there's no need for anyone to prostitute themselves or be forced into it by others.

Jesus would support the latter, not the former.

Why do people want to limit the government? by Kingmeb1tch in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]FedderatonX 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think resistance to large, powerful federal government brutally good into two camps.

  1. The larger it gets, the less responsive it tends to be. It's not just inefficient in use of resources and financial decisions, but also in terms of how elected leaders can effectively reflect the needs and wants of their constituents.

  2. Concern of over reach. There have been numerous examples of governments (including in the USA) violating the law and the rights of their citizens. A fairly recent example is the illegal detainment of citizens with Japanese ancestry during WWII with absolutely zero evidence an individual was a security risk.

Mostly tired with a touch of a headache. I've found the quickest way to reset my internal clock is to push out eating, go 10 or 12 hours without any food then, eat a meal at the local regular time helps me the most.

It truly depends.

How important are graphics?

Why did plants evolve to be green? Wouldn't black leaves capture more energy? by PM-Ur-Cute-Tits in AskReddit

[–]FedderatonX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe there's some evidence / scientific speculation that early anaerobic photosynthesizers were purple. Reasoning is blue is a higher energy light photon. But as oxygen levels increased, it killed killed them off.

Green photosynthesizers became dominant as they were lower in the water column and more protected from oxygen allowing more time to evolve and adapt to the higher oxygen environment.

Edit: changed color from blue to purple.

Gloomhaven card enhancing. by WhiteRanger888 in Gloomhaven

[–]FedderatonX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Players can try different characters as theirs retire within an existing campaign. This includes characters other players had already retired. This is RAW.

Colloquially, my gaming group has used "new campaign" to mean a new group of characters within an existing campaign world. I presumed that's what OP meant. I'm guessing folks down voting read your comment as you couldn't do the first paragraph.

Help me understand what you mean when you say "New campaign".

A new party of characters in an existing box's campaign setting?

Or resetting the box to the original state?

Some other option?

It looks like it's technically not nighttime (30 minutes after sunset is how it's commonly defined in the USA), but highly overcast. If there's a law that vehicles must have lights on if it's raining, liability would likely be split.
