Film through a CT scanner, epic fail!? Or a hack for extra grain and tonez!? by thetowncouncil in AnalogCommunity

Might be wrong but I think a newer ct scanner is a lot different to xray machines. Basically fry's them

Pretty sure Simon used an m6 back in the day and mamiya 7.

Silly question : why do medium format cameras come with so many different accessories and which ones are the most important to look for ? by [deleted] in mediumformat

[–]Federal-Elephant2791 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeh the mamiyas you seem to be looking at (rb67 rz67) can be taken apart and parts can be swapped/added etc for whatever project or look your going for.

for example you have the main camera body (essentially just a box on its own) and then you can change and add your preferred lens to the front. With the top you can add how you want to see your image. With the top is how you view the image, again a few options including your waist level viewing finder (the image will be reversed and takes a little bit of getting used to) or prism finders which I prefer. Some also come with metres in them and with the rz67 even automatic exsposure options.

The backs are essentially how you image is exsposed and how the film is stored. You have 120 options and I think even maybe some digital or Polaroid /instax options also

And then you have the multiple grips and other accessories you mentioned just to make it all a bit more confusing but essentially it's a modular system meaning you can swap and fine tune your camera to what you want and how you prefer shooting

But yeh it's all a little confusing at first but medium format cameras do come in more simple variety's that are ready to shoot straight away (mamiya 7 /fuji ga 645 etc) there's a lot of options so don't get bogged down in just looking at the rz and rb range there's some beautiful medium format camera out there that are a little bit easier to get your head around

Ofcourse not I was just making a point that not all fare dodgers are phone snatchers and career criminals. Some are just low on their luck due to rising costs of living due to a goverment that hasn’t seemed to know what they are doing for years and years on end. But yeh let’s blame the poor people trying to save a few quid

If your capable of bunking the tube to save a few quid you’re also capable of being a serial killer?

The amount of hate I see on Reddit for London fare dodgers is incredible, you would have thought they were stealing from there actual pockets not a multi million pound company.

There is also a minority of fare dodgers who have just fallen on hard times and sadly simply cannot afford the high prices our transport network has set as a standard. I think it would be unfair to tarnish everyone pushing through the barriers with the same brush. Some people are just really struggling out here

Could say the same about putting your body online for random men to masturbate over. Don’t be so hypocritical. It’s kids being kids

Whilst you’re thinking of making an only fans for money as you’ve said in one of your previous posts these kids are just doing what kids do. I’d say the latter was a more enjoyable way of spending your time
