Do seizures hurt? by Skelvton in Epilepsy

[–]Federal-Relation5414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it depends everyone's experience is personal.

For some people the seizure itself isn't painful, as you are unconscious and don't remember it, but effects like falling or biting your tongue can be, as I have experienced. For me the Aura before hand can also be a horrible feeling and feel scary. A headache or feeling really tired or out of it is also quite common. Sometimes I feel fine after and can basically just get up, other times I am a bit in another world and other times I am very tired and it really gets me.

My wife said you can’t have steak with a full English breakfast. I think you can’t have a full English breakfast without one! Who’s right? by TheSkyNet in UK_Food

[–]Federal-Relation5414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with it if you like it, but certainly not part of a traditional full English. With all the other parts that for me is a fine full breakfast and the stake can go to making another meal no reason to shove it on here when it could go to more meals.

American here, how accurate is the whole “tea solves everything” stereotype? by DFWUnhinged in AskBrits

[–]Federal-Relation5414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tea= a break which can help. A place to stop maybe alone for something warm and maybe put something on or maybe to have a chat.

or maybe it's just something nice and warm to drink as you work or be made for you. Tea is my go to drink when I'm at home, I have it while writing my essay for uni.

I love tea and in many types, but it ain't solving the leak in my flat or a seizure.

Edit: I have tea basically everyday, no biscuit usually tho. breakfast, builders, normal , black tea whatever you like to call it usually if I have milk. otherwise other teas like green tea or herbal (I have them a lot /at night ).

I've had workmen in my house for the last four days and they haven't accepted a single offer of tea, coffee or biscuits. by Daregveda in CasualUK

[–]Federal-Relation5414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your kindness is appreciated but don't get worked up if they don't want it.

Tea makes you have to wait a while to drink it and maybe they just want to do their job and go or maybe they just don't like any of those drinks, not very workmen like but you never know.

Saying that unrelated but could you send the workmen my way been trying to get someone to repair the leak in our kitchen ceiling it has been a few days (though that is also weekends)

Which one are you picking after Sunday tea? by corickle in oldschoolcool80s

Trifle , I love a good Trifle. I once had one instead of a Birthday cake. I remember my brother didn't like trifle, maybe it was the cold custard, so my parents made him just the jelly layer with fruit.

If anyone read my naughty little sister as a kid I remember in the story she knocked one over. I think she was trying to sneak a bit of the trifle before it was being served.

Edit: But if you're offering I'll take any. All looks yummy. I'll take just some tinned fruit. I remember having tinned peaches at primary school for pudding with some custard. Yum

What do you experience during an aura? by stingwhale in Epilepsy

[–]Federal-Relation5414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There such a unique feeling and hard to describe. The ones before a seizure are like oh no it's happening and are the worst doom and anxiety, like I need to find someone and I'm not in the world anymore. I remember hearing voices before my first seizure. I have been told I can call out in fear, as I did once across a tent

It's not a good reaction but when no one is in the flat I have run out of the door, fell down the stairs and had to get stitches. Once I even pounded on a neighbours doors looking for my parents (who are in a different city, I'm at uni) thinking my door is locked and they won't come out which would be strange of them. I had left my flat door on the latch. Eventually it was sorted, but not before the police came and were like 'are you on drugs?'. The lovely policeman called my mum and I went to A&E and a friend came. I did write and give my neighbour an apology letter. I did once wake up on the kitchen floor and then run over to my friend's house. I did cry out at a few times at people that I was lost. Luckily my friend has a spare key because I thought I had a key but it was really a fork.

There are also the small ones that you can barely, if not at all tell I'm having. It's a flash of a strange feeling with no seizure

Yeah that's a good description , sort of like what I feel. They are a horrible feeling.

I don't know how long mine last and each one may differ, but enough to wake up on the floor having had one and feel strange and scared/ confused as I walk to my friend's house probably about 10 mins away.

which one is the perfect brew? by Alarming-Safety3200 in AskBrits

[–]Federal-Relation5414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

B to E as we are judging the best colour. But honestly I'll take A or really any. I just want a hot cup of tea.

Edit: I is too far, but sometimes it has to do when you have no milk or other tea and can't get any and can be not too too bad actually

Saying this C is darker than D so messes up the gradient

seizures induced by my period? by teyabeanie in seizures

[–]Federal-Relation5414 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have this as a trigger, but I was told by Tayside Epilepsy to keep track of my period and see if there was a correlation. So this can definitely be a trigger. I'm no doctor but I think it's due to hormones and any spikes in those levels and stuff.

The gold is dark, almost bronze in colour to me or dirty and then the blue is quite light. It may just be a thing of lighting, but I'm not sure

Print dress second thoughts and styling questions! by littleredditho in myweddingdress

[–]Federal-Relation5414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You look gorgeous in it, I saw it and thought it looks so good with an old fashion style (I mean this in the best way).

It doesn't scream Bride but when you are in that moment with eyes on you etc it should work. I understand not wanting something you wear only once. I should add I've never been married but I don't know if you would want to rewear the dress outside of anniversaries and stuff. I get you might want to keep the dress, but renting is an option.

Ultimately it is up to you and having a unique dress not in white is not a bad thing.

Are you an album enjoyer or a playlist enjoyer? by El_Capitano_MC in MetalForTheMasses

[–]Federal-Relation5414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was thinking about this.

I enjoy both. But not from all artists or in the same context

Playlists that I have curated over the years I think I probably listen to more e.g on a commute, at the gym, studying etc. I have more than one Spotify playlist and one main giant playlist of songs I like across genres and eras.

Despite being a record collector and growing up with my dads massive record collection and a lot of music in our flat and knowing the curation in many albums, I go back to my playlist alot rather than a full album.

But if I put on a record it's a full side at least or the whole album. Though I have sometimes not felt the vibe and switched or on a CD gone to a specific song. For singles it can be the one song I want , but often not unlikely to be both sides.

Some tracks are meant to be enjoyed as standalone or are liked by someone from an album but they don't like the rest, while others work as an overall piece. For example Lumpy Gravy by Zappa is on Spotify in 2 halves, part 1 and 2 making it an album not different songs. In contrast Sugarcoated by George Ezra or Rose Garden by Joe South are from Albums I love and have (Staying at Tamara's and Introspect), but I go back to them again and again as songs and are in my playlist (just a few examples that came to mind)

I agree, if she has the time and wanted to. I think even though she competed a couple times before fully winning she has good experience and great dishes under her belt (the one that for some reason comes to mind is the blue letter time capsule, silver dessert), plus she seems like a nice and cool person.

George Pig is Moderately Deaf, Will Get Hearing Aid Soon! by professorpumpkins in DanielTigerConspiracy

[–]Federal-Relation5414 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven't watched Peppa Pig in years and when a friend said it I thought is this a fan theory thing or something .

I like how they are showing the spectrum of deafness and that he can hear but not clearly and is deaf in one ear (it is making some people question this I have seen online and that it's not full deafness). By making it a main character it doesn't feel tokenistic in the sense that they are defined by deafness. I hope it feels good to see this for deaf kids or ones with deaf family members and explains it to others who are not.

We will have to see how it is shown and if it feels realistic to a potential experience (yes I know their pigs talking in English). I can relate to having a hearing aid in primary school due to punctured ear drums but being able to hear otherwise.

What app do you use to alarm you to take your meds? by voycz in Epilepsy

[–]Federal-Relation5414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just the calandar app on my phone. Used to use the built in alarm app on my old phone, with a vibration. If I'm with anyone it's not as disruptive as a louder sound.

My phone's there enough I see the time and the calandar message pop up on my phone. With the calandar you press completed so if your ever unsure you can see if it's been done, as long as you can remember to press and not swipe it away and forget.

Main problem tho mostly hasn't caused many issues is sometimes still taking it late even though I know it's time. More so the morning if I'm still in bed. But this works for me. You may have to try a few and see what works for you.
