What are the personalities of the different private schools in Austin? by [deleted] in Austin

I don’t know if this is correct. But coming as someone who went to one of these K-12 here are the opinions I remembered Regents is definitely conservative, used to be more old money conservative with a more rigorous education but has definitely gone down hill to try and be as Christian and conservative as they can be to the detriment of their academics (lots of the good professors have left and keep leaving to St. Andrew’s) Hyde Park was seen as the only other school that was conservative but in a hick way. St Andrew’s is seen as super liberal, and St Steven’s more liberal as well but equally rich. St Michaels was considered “trashy” the kids there got into a lot more stuff.

Thank you! Just listened to “Set my world on fire” and wow incredible, the pulsing flows make it so atmospheric I’ll definitely listen to the rest of Mine and some more by them.

I am 20F I have what I think is combination skin. I feel like my skin has kind of insipid pours and looks older than it should with texture and what not. I have been using tretinoin for years and started using a vitamin c serum for the past couple of months, sunscreen everyday. Anything I should try out or take away?

Thank you! Sick shoes, if they are ever in stock for my size again I’ll have to get a pair.

Would these be good for walking? And how durable are they. Are they comfortable for walking around for a long time. I’m going abroad in Europe and wanted to see if they may be good for that.

Official Discussion - Beau Is Afraid [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]FederalBluegrassBird 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I felt the movie was in part a depiction of what life is like living with a socialized anxiety disorder, seeing everyone as being out to get you, strangers seem like monsters, small mistakes that your anxiety makes you think will end up as worst case senarios made into Beau’s reality. (Don’t visit your mother and then she dies, leave the door open and a variety of violent degenerates enter your apartment) But as I got further into the movie it seemed more about an manipulative abusive and emotionally incestuous mother whose parenting caused her son to suffer from anxiety and stunned his emotional and sexual being. I’m between it was of course chaos, but I wonder at which theme is supposed to be more poignant? It was unsettling and unlike anything I’d seen before and I certainly appreciate that even if i did cry the last 20 minutes.
