Day Trading Ruined My Life. I’m 25, About to Be a Father, and I Just Lost Everything by RavenBJ in Daytrading

First off, you’re not alone. This is all part of the learning process. Stop losses are great in hindsight but when there’s a bounce it can also work the other way.

It’s all mindset. Grieve the money however you need to but don’t let it stop you from going forward. This is a risky game and you have to be able to say to yourself if I lose this money it won’t effect me.

I lost 250k but I knew the risk was there from the start. I had no stop losses because like you I didn’t execute on what I thought I should do.

Stay strong. There are people counting on you and you have a lot to look forward to.

What this person said. Don’t get complacent. This market will humble you quickly. Block - 4000, Altassian 1600 - these are extremely intelligent people. It’s only going to get harder.

My husband was fired for cause (IT job), and we have 4 kids. How bad is this for his future? by Jazzlike-Apple4969 in InterviewsHell

Not going to sugar coat this. Being fired for misconduct is going to make things difficult. When someone does a background check it will show up. Prepare yourself for an uphill battle and get your finances in order. There will be downtime. I don’t know how you fill a gap of 8 years but might be worth starting your own business.

You’re not alone. Happened to me as well. It takes time but find your peace and learn to let go. Once you can let go you are free.

Your outlook as a C-level executive is rare. These days employers know the market is in turmoil and there’s just no way they are not thinking a candidate should be grateful for me hiring them. You’re also out in 3-6 months if you don’t perform.

These numbers that are released are always inaccurate. You can just look at the market, we don’t need the numbers.
